Eric Clapton / Derek And The Dominos A 1969 Fender Dual Showman reverb-amp, silverface model with black Tolex covering, Serial No. FO3069, Fender logo with tail, control panel with 11 rotary controls, four inputs, two switches and indicator light, The amplifier shows signs of adaptation when nearly new by the addition of an XLR type line output socket on the rear panel, with yellow stencil lettering to the top Derek And The Dominos [faded]; accompanied by a colour photograph of Clapton on stage with Derek And The Dominos, Lyceum, London, 14 June, 1970 (printed later) 20.3x25.4cm.
Captain John William Clayton (19th century), `And Blown with restless violence round about the pedant world`; The setting sun now beams more mildly bright, the shadows lengthening with the level light`; `In those vernal seasons of the year when the air is calm and pleasant`, three pen and ink drawings, one inscribed on label attached to the reverse, the largest 24cm x 31cm. A similar large size plate of the 17th Light Dragoons (Lancers) without battle honours; ex Spring Connoisseur Sale 1999, with copy of letter stating that the plate was acquired “in the Crimea in the Summer of 1998 from two young boys who confirmed the Lance Cap Plate had been excavated by them from the British Cavalry camp at Kadikoi, Balaclava”. Remarkable condition for an excavated item (2 ray tips broken, fasteners missing, one or two tiny tears). Plate 4
A rare officer’s gilt and silver plated lance cap plate of the 16th (The Queen’s) Light Dragoons (Lancers) c 1830, bearing R Arms with supporters and motto, scrolls “Peninsula” and “Waterloo” left and right, “Bhurtpore” top and “Queen’s” bottom. The gilt and silver plate generally sound for age (plate split down centre, part of “Queen’s” scroll, “16”, right tip and 5 fixing nuts missing).
A Vic 1821 pattern light cavalry officer’s sword, slightly curved, fullered blade 35½” by Manton & Co, London and Calcutta, etched with crowned VR cypher within scrolled, foliate panels, regulation steel hilt with knucklebow, side loop and 2 sidebars, forward sloping stepped pommel, unusual wirebound pale sharkskin grip, in its steel scabbard with 2 rings. GC (minor wear, light pitting to hilt and scabbard)
A 1796 pattern light cavalry trooper’s sword, curved, shallow fullered blade 32½”, etched “W. Greatwood” with laurel sprays in panel, on one side only, regulation stirrup hilt with langets, backstrap with ears, ribbed wooden grip, in its steel scabbard with 2 rings. Basically GC (blade worn, hilt and scabbard painted black over pitting)

A pair of ‘Newcastle’ light baluster wine glasses each with pointed round funnel shaped bowls set on a stem with annulated shoulder knop above an inverted baluster knop on a conical foot, 18cm high, circa. 1740-50, nibbles to one foot together with a further glass with waisted bell shaped bowl with solid base on a straight multiple series air twist terminating in the base of the bowl on a conical foot, 17cm high, circa 1750-60. Vincenti et Cie a Paris A three piece clock garniture, the eight day duration movement striking the hours & half hours on a bell with the backplate stamped with the trademark of the maker Vincenti et Cie, the white enamel dial having black Arabic numerals, floral swags between the numerals and decorative gilt brass hands, the white marble case having a classical female figure to one side and a winged cherub to the other, with applied classical mounts to the front, sides and a front frieze depicting a musical scene, the two three-light candelabra side pieces having a winged cherub of each standing on white marble columns with applied gilt mounts, height: 41cm. * For details of Vincenti see lot no. 656
A small Copenhagen porcelain figure of a child beating a drum with a wooden spoon, underglaze blue wave mark and green printed and painted marks to base, together with a Lladro figure of a sleeping child, two porcelain rabbits, five paperweights and a `Pif Co` light in the form of a moulded glass peacock.

[N.p.: n.d. but circa 1914-1918.] (each photograph approx 60 x 105mm.) window mounted, depicting topographical views and portraits, most annotated in ink below the image. (Some fading or light creasing.) Contemporary cloth. Note: the album appears to have been compiled by an ambulance driver stationed in Jerusalem.
