The colour depth broadly remains good and mostly intact. Further more pronounced oxidation around the white highlights indicating the edges of the lake within the foreground. Some pencil working still in evidence above the tower to the left and around the trees. No evidence of cockling. Not examined out of the frame.

Not presenting any adverse of associated issues. Areas of fine stable craquelure especially within the darker tones of the brown paint. The lower edge of the canvas and frame would appear to have sustained a water? damage along the full length and effects an area of approx 6-7cm at its widest point. Photographs can be supplied. Otherwise in good condition with remaining impasto and brushwork throughout. Mr Dickie - In generally highly comparable condition to his wife. More pronounced and evident fine stable craquelure especially across the face. An amount of relatively minor scratches nicks and scuff marks to upper left hand corner and left hand side edge. Small cluster of further minor surface scratches and gentleman's bent elbow approx 5 on both diagonal, horizontal and vertical, the longest at approx 2cm in length. A greater amount of white coloured splashes mostly contained to lower third of painting (which can be easily removed). Further odd scratch/abrasion to outer edge.
