Rare Charles Earnshaw Patent "XLNT" brass face spoon c1926 - large light stained head stamped "Earnshaw's XLNT Pat. Appl'd For no 12889/26" to the crown - fitted with full brass faceplate secured by four screws - the toe stamped with the letter D (Driver) and fitted with a period full length leather grip. Note Ex Jeff Ellis Collection see lot 428 - comes complete with the original signed Jeff Ellis certificate of authenticity from the sale held in New York in 2007

The book is a light-hearted look at colonial golf in San Serriffe. The club song is perhaps by Edwin Morgan (note only 150 copies were produced in quarter leather) hence (VG).

Hamilton^ David signed - "The Thorn Tree Clique - new analysis of Mathieson's poem The Goff" publ'd 2001 in deluxe leather ltd ed no 40/ 50 which were hand tooled in leather using a golfing motif at The Fine Bindery comes c/w slip case made from grass and leaves from Leith Links home of the world's first golf club hence. The book contains the first line by line analysis of Matthieson's Edinburgh poem "The Goff" of 1742^ not only casting new light on the play but also revealing it as an Enlightenment parable. The 4 wood engravings are by Kathleen Lindsley and an end pocket has a facsimile of this rare and valuable poem - appears unread hence (VG).
3x Lawn Tennis Rackets ranging from 1920 - 1930 the first racket is the "Solus"^ made in England with excellent transfers and frame trimmings - The strings are in perfect condition. The second racket is a "First Light" model retailed by'H. R. Wakar & Co. Sports Outfitters' from the Punjabi city of Ferozepore^ India - it has perfect stringing. The third racket is'Wilson Super Stroke' racket patented on 28th August 1928. No Strings (3)

Three Staffordshire porcellaneous flower encrusted pastille burners, circa 1840, one modelled as a church, two as pavilions and another similar Condition Report: Church (2 parts) - Base has hair cracks under, a few areas of staining and losses to the encrusted flowers. The top has minor hair cracks and losses to the encrusted flowers. Pavilion with red door (2 parts) - Base has losses to the encrusted flowers. Top has minor hair crack to foot rim, light crazing and losses to the encrusted flowers. Pavilion with open door (2 parts) - Base has minor crazing and staining in areas and losses to the encrusted flowers. Top has restoration below flowerhead surmount (poor) and losses to the encrusted flowers. Small cottage - Crazing and staining under. Restoration to base of tree with glue residue, losses to branches, rubbing to gilt highlights.
A set of nine Cauldon dinner plates, gilt and dark blue, and twelve Minton soup plates of similar decoration Condition Report: Minton soup bowls - 7 in overall good condition with very minor or no wear to gilding and only very light scratches. 4 with significant damage that has been repaired with rivets some time ago, gilt discoloured to areas of repair. 1 with crack running ¾ of the way across the plate. Cauldon plates - 7 have minor scratches and some light wear particularly to inner band and to outer rim. 1 has bad crack with staining running most of the way across. 1 has riveted repair to a section of the rim.
Two Wedgwood pearlware foliate pattern square dishes and a Swansea botanical pearlware plate with decoration by Pardoe Condition Report: Botanical plate - Light crazing throughout. One faint hairline crack to rim (1” long). Impressed mark S beneath and titled in red 'Alpine, Aster' Wedgwood plates both imressed WEDGWOOD '7' and with No219 in blue underneath. One has hairlines, crazing and restoration to the corner, the other is good with just light scratches.
A Worcester slop bowl, circa 1770, painted in the Kakiemon style with cartouches of flowers, foliage and banded hedges edged with gilt scrolls and reserved on a blue-scale ground, crescent mark, 17cm diameter Condition Report: No damages or restoration. Light wear/scratches to interior. Kiln speckling to rim to which gilding not adhered in parts, light scratching to exterior, enamels and gilding mostly good.
A Delft blue and white bowl, circa 1780, decorated an island pavilion, 31cm diameter Condition Report: Restoration to base and sides running up to rim, particularly visible under UV light. At some point there was a rivet repair under, this has been removed and a more recent campaign of restoration undertaken. Fritting and light restoration to rim. Crack to base is visible to interior of bowl. Other small blemishes here and there.
A Shelley Tall Trees and Sunrise pattern tea service comprising twelve cups, twelve saucers, twelve plates, two cake plates, teapot, milk jug and sugar basin/see illustration Condition Report: One side plate has a small chip under rim. One saucer has a triangular chip issuing a bad crack. One cup has a long faint hairline from rim almost to base. Elsewhere some light wear and scratches here and there but overall nice condition.
