A Rivarossi Prototype Italian State Railway (FS) class 691 4-6-2 Locomotive and Tender, the loco and tender both with sand-cast bodies, possibly in iron or an aluminium alloy (weight of loco implies iron!), finished in matt black with red trim, fitted with handrails to both sides, unpainted cast alloy air pump and other fittings to right side running plate, twin lamps to front and No. FS 691 001 to front buffer beam, the chassis fitted with a 'Trix-style' transverse motor with accessible brush-caps, all wheels with red plastic centres and spring-wire wipers to right-side driving wheel rims, red transfer number '347' to underside, bogie and pony trucks fabricated from brass and cast components, tender bogies having very small pairs of functioning springs to each side, and with same number to rear buffer beam, G-VG, some white powdery corrosion to cast-alloy motion parts, and appears to have light corrosion also to chassis block inside body (2)
Rivarossi early production Italian State Railways (FS) Duz Baggage/Post Car and Abz Passenger Coach, the Bakelite bodies each finished in two-tone brown with silver roofs, 'F.S.Italia' and the coach designation in yellow to solebars, with Bakelite-sided bogies on metal frames, white-on-red transfer labels '394 and '397' to undersides respectively, both had delicate rubber representations of corridor connections (intact on baggage car, both perished on coach), otherwise VG, a couple of small rubs to light brown paintwork on baggage car (2)

The subject is the Doges Foscari condemning his son to banishment". The picture was removed to the Staircase Hall in November 1907.
