Some areas filled and touched up - around the cupboards, doors and the edges. One area with damage and lifting to the left door - split to the reeded area. Light to the top cupboard. Failed PAT test.

* Zdzislaw Ruszkowski [1907-1990]-Climbing The Stairs; Mrs Ash and Katherine,:-signed bottom rightoil on canvas, 108 x 84cm.* Notes Exhibited. Leeds City Art Gallery and Temple Newsam House.* Biography Ruszkowski was born in 1907 in Tomaszow, Poland and grew-up influenced by his father, also a painter. Later influences were Van Gogh, Cezanne and the Old Masters such as Titian and Rembrandt. In 1935 Ruszkowski went to live in Paris, where he became closer to the work of Cezanne and the countryside around Aix-en-Provence in the south of France. In 1939 he stayed in Versailles, but the threat of war in Europe affected his enthusiasm to paint and in 1940 he left France for England to serve with the Polish army based in Scotland until 1944. Ruszkowski's preoccupation with light assumed a major influence in his work from the mid-50s and large areas of dark shadow are used to achieve contrast, form and expression. Light also plays a constructional role in his paintings and transitions from shadow to light have defined shape and colour. There is an artist's Catalogue Raisonne produced by Michael Simonow.

A late 19th century Copeland porcelain 'Star of India' dessert plate: reputedly from a service made for Queen Victoria, the ivory ground centre with the Star of India, motto 'Heaven's Light Our Guide' and the Royal cypher, the rim with a band of heraldic-style flowerheads and ribbon tied foliage in raised enamels, date code for August 1891, factory mark lacking, 25cm diameter.

A Royal Worcester cabinet plate by Charley Baldwyn: painted with five swans in flight amongst reeds and grasses on a light blue ground, the rim with four reticulated panels divided by panels of swallows and gilt foliage, unsigned, puce factory mark and date code for 1905, 22cm diameter [interior cracks].

An antique metal gas hanging lamp with four stained glass panels together with a further light fitting with opaque glass shade CONDITION REPORT: The lantern is 20cm high by 19cm deep and 19cm wide. Including the hanger the height is 74cm. This has previously been wired but now has no bulb or wires in it. The glass panels are somewhat loose.

Typically missing one or two of the larger droplets, plus 2 or 3 of the smaller drops. The other light fitting also appears to be missing some drops, although there are some loose ones in the box.
