You can always rely on Polish film posters to provide eye-catching attention and Andrzel Klimowski's poster art for the 1976 Polish first release of Richard Donner's "The Omen" is legendary for its creepiness with its bizarre satanic imagery. After the "Star Wars"-style excesses of the previous 007 movie "Moonraker" (1979) this is more of return to a gritty, realistic espionage thriller in John Glen's "For Your Eyes Only" (1981). Roger Moore's fifth outing as James Bond is highlighted by a controversial (yet very eye-catching) poster campaign that incorporates the "legs" aspect of Bill Gold's design and Brian Bysouth's beautifully detailed action artwork. Considered too risque for certain American states, there are some posters which have been heavily censored around the buttocks of New York model Joyce Bartle. This Studio made production poster was created for the mayoral campaign of Oswald Cobblepot (Danny DeVito) the notorious Batman nemesis Penguin, in the Tim Burton sequel "Batman Returns" (1992). It depicts Cobblepot as a distinguished and respected Gotham City businessman who will bring an end to the corruption and crime plaguing the City, and act as a beacon of light in its bright future. The poster design is used throughout the film as a prop and set dressing. This example is a very rare uncut printer's test poster (often referred to as a 'printer's proof') and would have been created as reference before the Production and Art Department for the movie approved the design to be used in the actual movie. This large format 40" x 60" film poster for Steven Spielberg's "Raiders Of The Lost Ark" (1981) features the image of the archaeologist adventurer Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) with tantalising glimpses of two key scenes by artist Richard Amsel, perfectly complementing this all-action blockbuster. As if this wasn't enough to get you through the doors, the poster also name checks the creative force behind the production: "Jaws" (Spielberg) and "Star Wars" (George Lucas). Scarce in this format, it presents very well and is in a unfolded rolled (as issued) condition. Darker and more serious in tone and content than its predecessor. Bruce Wolfe's beautifully rendered artwork certainly reinforces that trait for Steven Spielberg's 1984 prequel/sequel "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" (1984). This original country of origin large format 40" x 60" US movie poster highlights the titular archaeologist hero as a beacon of light surrounded by darkness. Originally rolled and unfolded as issued to the cinema, this fine example displays to excellent effect being presented in unrestored condition. Often seen as the "weakest" of the franchise, this is considerably rarer than posters from the other films and is genuinely hard to find in this format. "Steve McQueen takes you for a drive in the country... The country is France. The drive is at 200 MPH!". This is the first time we have offered or seen this style 1971 "Le Mans" film poster. Any paper from this sought after Steve McQueen motor racing title is scarce but this British UK Quad film poster is the rarest (likely from the film's premiere) for this iconic McQueen movie. Beautifully painted close-up artwork of McQueen by Tom Jung, emphasising the patriotic red, white and blue colours of the America flag and also matching McQueen's racing overalls. Originally folded (as issued), this unrestored example presents and displays well with some obvious handling issues, but nothing a competent restorer couldn't correct. A film where any posters are genuinely scarce and hard to find due to the very limited cinematic release at the time.30" x 40" (76 x 102 cm)Condition: GoodUnrestored, folded (as issued) - Overall it displays well with bright unfaded colours - some conditions issues but nothing of major concern including light surface scuffs, clean tears (4" and 5" with no paper loss) to top border and a series of scattered of small tears to edges. Title is written on reverse but this does not bleed through to the front.Artist: Tom Jung£1000 - 2000VAT Status: M

This preliminary pencil drawing by illustrator Morgan Weistling was one of the concept sketches he produced while working on the campaign for the monster comedy "Transylvania 6-5000" (1985) starring Jeff Goldblum, Geena Davis and Ed Begley Jr. A rare and desirable production piece that has been signed (in pencil - bottom right border) by the artist Morgan Weistling.13" x 9.5" (33 x 24 cm)Condition: Very Good to ExcellentUnrestored, original condition, flat/unfolded (as issued). Displays to very good effect with light handling wear. Artist: Morgan Weistling£150 - 250VAT Status: M

In our Prop Store Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction of September 2018 we were fortunate to sell Enzo Sciotti's original concept art (Lot 257 which sold for £7,000) for the poster we have on offer today. This Italian 4-Fogli from the 1971 Italian re-release of "Dr. No" (1962) showcases a full-body view of James Bond (Sean Connery) standing in his iconic pose with his Walther PPK alongside Honey Ryder (Ursula Andress) in her famous white bikini, with a large buckled white British army belt accessory. The moment she emerges from the sea in said bikini has been cited amongst the greatest moments in film and has been widely emulated and parodied on screen since.55" x 78" (140 x 198 cm)Additional Information: Printed in Italy by - Lito - P. Hagioni. Roma Via Prenestina 738Condition: Very GoodUnrestored, folded (as issued). Supplied in two sections as originally distributed to cinemas. Overall very good with light handling and fold line wear. As typical with some productions of the early 1970's the 'Transamerica' lettering and logo has been coloured over in blue pen.Artist: Enzo Sciotti£100 - 200VAT Status: M
