Salt Lake City 2002 Winter Olympic Games gold winner's prize medal awarded to a member of the Canadian men's ice hockey team,silver-gilt, by Scott Given/Axiom Design, the obverse intended to resemble a Utah river rock and therefore has an organic shape, designed with an athlete breaking through ice and rock over the Olympic Rings holding a torch, inscribed OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES, LIGHT THE FIRE WITHIN, the reverse with a modernised interpretation of the Greek Godess Nike and an image of the sport for which the medal was awarded, inscribed SALT LAKE 2002, MEN'S ICE HOCKEY, the base of the ribbon loop has the Roman numeral XIX, signifying the 19th Winter Olympic Games, diameter 85mm., depth 10mm., weight 567gr., in original fitted walnut case with curved lid bearing an Olympic Rings plaque, the left-hand interior inserted with the gold medal diploma printed for the awarding date of 24 February 2002Canada recovered from a shaky start to the tournament, with a loss, win and a draw in their preliminary group. However, the men's team improved through the elimination contests beating Finland 2-1 in the quarter-final, Belarus 7-1 in the semi-final and the USA 5-2 in the Gold Medal match.

Weights in the hemline A separate black boned corset with layered net skirt, shapes the dress accentuating the waist. A metal zip runs down the back of the dress.
