Two terracotta busts by Arthur Fleischmann (1896-1990) 'Balinese Man' Terracotta Signed, 24cm high; And another by the same artist "Portrait Bust of Mr Lamb", signed, 33cm high, (2) Arthur John Fleischmann (1896-1990) trained in Prague, Budapest and Vienna and worked in France and Italy before spending 6 months six months working in Bali before arriving in in Australia in 1939. He was celebrated as a modernist sculptor and exhibited in Sydney and Melbourne before leaving for London in 1948. He became a Fellow of the RBS and exhibited widely. `Mr. Lamb' was, by family repute, an architect working in London after the war. Condition Report: Both will benefit from light surface clean- portrait with white paint (?) to right hand side of mouth Bothe with some wear and small chips/losses to lower margins- Balinese arm base- portrait plinth base The portrait with whiter infill around junction point of neck and plinth- this may have been done by the artist or is later strengthening Condition Report Disclaimer
