Sarah Villeneau, "Sculpture with strings", ceramic and nylon thread sculpture, 2019, 18 x 16 x 11cm, 850gr. A highly organic form suggestive of visceral and vulnerable interiors, with a delicate, almost lace like pattern on the outer ‘skin’, the piece appears held together by the strings, creating both a tension across the piece and a protective barrier. A small and light piece, it is easily explored in the hand, with amusement to be had from plucking the strings. Decorated with a variety of glazes and fired to stoneware in an electric kiln. Located in Sheffield, UK delivery £30.
Pippa Cunningham, "View of Beaulieu sur Mer from Mary Lou's garden", unframed gouache on watercolour paper 2020, 56 x 76cm. From a series completed en plein air in the south of France during the French Lockdown. This part of France has been a continual source of inspiration for me. I love the colours, nature, light, architecture and art history of the area. The view from Mary Lou's garden looking over Beaulieu Sur Mer was a complex one of buildings, the marina, Kerry Los and Eze in the distance. I wanted to merge these elements together. Located in Brighton, shipping within the UK at £20.
Pippa Cunningham, "Bianca's Bar Jungle Beach Unawatuna", unframed gouache on watercolour paper 2019, 56 x 76cm. From a series of paintings completed "en plien air" in Sri Lanka. I found Bianca s bar tucked away on the Beach near Unawatuna , a fishing boat recycled into a Fruit and Coconut Juice bar. I wanted to capture the light ,shadows, happiness and colour there. Located in Brighton, shipping within the UK at £20.
Andrew Halliday, "Blood moon over Manhattan", framed oil on board, 2018, 53 x 53cm framed. This painting was inspired by the lunar event of the Super Blue Blood Moon that captured the world's interest in January 2018. The scene shows the mass of skyscrapers as they are seen from Brooklyn, with the graceful Chrysler Building dominating the skyline. I love the effect of low light and it's spell on the mass of buildings as the day draws to a close. Shortlisted for Royal Academy summer exhibition 2018. Located in Southampton, UK delivery £50.
