MICHAEL PERCHIN FABERGE FOUNTAIN PEN.Enamelled silver barrel.Limited edition.Two-tone 18 Kts gold nib. 18 Kts gold nib.No box.Measures: 14,5 cm length, 16 mm. diameter. The model for this fountain pen is the famous Faberge Imperial Easter Egg, and more specifically the Egg with blue stripes and solid gold, a work entrusted to the legendary and brilliant goldsmith who was director of his laboratory between 1855 and 1903, a period of time in which the most beautiful creations that made Faberge famous came to light, and who was none other than Michel Perchin, from whom the brand takes its name. The body, made of solid 925 sterling silver, is delicately guilloché-worked with alternating bands, enriched with a transparent cobalt-blue enamel that reveals the guilloché below and other gold-plated bands carved and guilloché-worked with different motifs. It is made of vermeil silver, in keeping with the type of finishing applied to this beautiful jewel. The mouthpiece is also made of vermeil silver, with engraving in the form of curls alternating with smooth parts. The nib is made of 18K gold, with a platinum mask that reveals a yellow-gold-coloured border decorating the gables with plant motifs and, in the centre of the nib, the brand's anagram, an elephant with a carrying basket and "18K"; the loading system is by means of a cartridge and/or piston converter.A total of 3000 fountain pens were produced in 1995.

ROTRING "ART PEN" FOUNTAIN PENS. Annual edition.Acrylic resin and metal bodies.18 Kts gold nib, F nibs.No box.Measurements: 14.5 cm length; 18.43 mm diameter. The Rotring brand started with the "Tintenkuli" fountain pen, which soon developed into the first "Rapidograph" for technical drawing, and since then has specialised in articles for professionals. In 1984 it launched the "Art Pen" fountain pen, a tool pen aimed at draughtsmen, illustrators, caricaturists, graphic designers and calligraphers, with a wide range of rigid nibs in top-quality steel and a superb point finish. The nib is made of acrylic resin with a slight roughness, which gives them an almost matt satin finish, with a good grip, although each nib has a different body, both in colour and, probably, material. The pen is very light. The chosen shape was that of a "brush" or "palillero", which apart from balancing it allows the grip to be delayed if it is necessary to work on top of work already done. The cap closes by click and has a long clip, more to prevent it from rolling off a board than to fit into a pocket. The nozzle is long and transversely furrowed, the ridges being flat, so that with the soft grip that precise work over long hours deserves, it neither slips nor tires. At the end of the nib there is the typical red washer of the brand and the little handle on which a standard cartridge or a converter, also very light, is mounted. The nibs of this series are its raison d'être, giving the professional the full range to carry out his work.As we have already mentioned, they are rigid steel nibs, although later the 18 Kts. gold nib was introduced. The nibs in question are two-coloured, in 18 Kts gold, with an F point.
ÉLYSÉE FOUNTAIN PEN.Gold metal barrel and lacquer.Two-tone 18Kts gold nib, M-point.Limited edition. No box.Measurements: 14 cm in length; 11.20 mm in diameter. This is an Elysée fountain pen "Impression No. 1", Limited Edition 1994. This fountain pen is the third in the "Vernissage" series. This pen was created by the artist Manfred Eberhard. He believes that "art has the task of creating freedom for human feelings". The "Vernissage" series uses Chinese Cloisonné art as the basis for the design of the pen. "Vernissage" is a French term for a private art exhibition for guests. The Elysée Parthenon model is the canvas, once again, for this pen, and the result is a very distinctive and unique series. This pen is the most elaborate of the series. The artwork depicts a human form walking towards the sun. Manfred Eberhard describes this as a hopeful vision that "every individual will find a positive attitude towards life when he steps out of the shadow into the light". The walking figure is depicted in gold framed by a bright solar glow behind the figure's head. The predominant base colour, in segments involving the flickering of light against darkness, is a dark blue glaze, possibly a nod to "Jingtai Blue", the popular colour used in Chinese Cloisonné of the late Ming period, in the reign of Jintai (1450-1456). This dark blue is dotted with segments of lighter blue. Above the head of the strolling figure, in the cap, are two golden birds in flight, flying overhead, adding to the positive message.Two-tone 18Kts gold nib, M-point, snap clasp.
