A light-green painted & natural pine dresser, the upper part with three open shelves with a panelled back, the base fitted three frieze drawers above a dog kennel to centre flanked by a cupboard to either side enclosed by a panel door, & on a plinth base, 137.5cm long x 195.5cm high x 45.5cm deep.
A fabulous 18th century crewel work wall hanging, finely worked in coloured wools on linen, the exquisite branching floral vines with waving stems of stylized leaves and tropical birds, 210 cm x 190 cm. Provenance : The Estate of the late Lady Rose Diana Musker (nee Lambton), Lambton Castle, County Durham. CONDITION REPORT: A wonderful example, the detail and quality excellent. Some areas of time staining to linen background, please see images. Colours are bright and not showing areas of severe damage, there are no clear and obvious signs of damage other than those in keeping with age such as light fraying. Shelves removable but not adjustable. Second shelf w light chips and losses. Veneer crack to left side. Marble good but edges very slightly chipped to underside and back corners underneath. A few movement cracks to frieze.
Edward Duncan (1803-1882)/Fishing Boats in a Rough Sea/signed and dated 1856/watercolour, 62cm x 115.5cm CONDITION REPORT: Generally very good condition overall, with colours still clear and vivid. No obvious signs of creasing or significant damage. Some minor potential areas of foxing, especially in the paler areas, but the artwork appears to have been displayed and kept sympathetically away from excessive natural light.

Covers a little scuffed and marked. Deckled edges foxed.

Seven circular veneer inlets to top of desk indicating there may have been a gallery which has been removed. Key present but left frieze drawer cannot be opened. Some veneer cracks to back of desk. Light chips and losses at edges of doors.

Some discolouration to boards. Light foxing throughout. Fold-out maps appear to be in tact, with some wear around the edges and tearing in places.
