Football - England v Ireland at Ayresome Park, Middlesbrough, 14th Feb 1914. Sports Picture Post Official Programme. This was also the programme for Stockton v Oxford City English Amateur Cup, and Bishop Auckland v Leytonstone. No pen or pencil marks, light foxing, few very tiny pin holes to cover. Very Rare
Three Worcester dishes. Ground in cobalt blue, with tooled gilding and decorated in coloured enamels with flowers. Two with underglaze open crescent marks and one with a square seal mark, c1775. Widest 24cm wide. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Light wear. No chips, cracks or restoration.

A George III mahogany bureau bookcase. The top astrigal glazed section is raised on a frieze of dummy drawers over the bureau with fitted interior raised on bracket feet. 192cm high, 97cm wide 57cm deep. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. One handle missing. Overall fair but would benefit from some light restoration.
A late twentieth century English light oak refectory table and six dining chairs upholstered in burgundy leather. The four plank oblong table top over a frieze carved with Eely pheasant motifs is raised on turned bulbous supports. The chairs including two carver armchairs have bobbin turned spindle back rests. Table 180cm x 90cm. Commissioned by the vendor. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Excellent condition. Top removable.
Daniel Havell after T L Rowbotham (early 19th century) ``A View of part of the Bay and City of Dublin, taken from Marino`` ``A View of the New Pier & Lighthouse at Howth Near Dublin`` Published by Colnaghi & Co, London 1817, hand-coloured aquatints, 25cm by 87cm, contained in verre eglomise frames ``A View of the New Pier & Lighthouse at Howth Near Dublin`` Light staining to paper which is more pronounced along top exposed margin and other sporadic areas. Cluster of medium sized foxing mostly contained but not entirely exclusively, in the central area of the sky and into the margin. Light creasing to right hand side edge. Rubbing to paper above the printed word ``Dublin`` in the title. Light creasing to left hand side margin and small hole. Colour depth OK- good. Full text, title and publisher details intact. ``A View of part of the Bay and City of Dublin, taken from Marino`` In a comparable overall condition to the former. Rubbed/ worn/ grubby appearance to left hand side margin. Text and title intact but not as clear as the former. Creasing and odd nick to the paper of the right hand side margin. Light scuffing lower margin. Colour depth OK- good. Not examined out of the frames.

Overall good colour and condition. Small cluster of dark coloured spots to top right hand corner of ``The Junction of the Touse and Pabur`` . Attached to backing board with masking tape along top edge, free otherwise.
Charles Edward Dixon RI (1872-1934) ``The Port`` - Pool of London Signed and dated (19)09, watercolour, 26cm by 75.5cm In basically strong colour. Possible minor area of light rubbing towards upper top right hand corner. There are a few nicks to the paper below the burnt orange sail on the left hand side approx. 0.5 -1cm in length and another less pronounced nick to the left of the rowing boat in the foreground. There are three further nicks to the centre of the paper just to the right of the ``Wesley Ship``. Very light staining to the paper. Not examined out of the frame. Water stain to mount on left hand side running just over half the length. Thunderflies trapped under the glass.

Light staining to the paper evident in the sky and exposed or unpainted areas. There is a small cluster of medium sized brown spots just to the right of the castle and running down towards the city itself. Not examined out of the frame.

William Mason Brown (1828-1898) American Figures conversing in a mountainous landscape, a figure droving cattle in the distance Signed, oil on panel, 17cm by 28.5cm Bears a W Scott & Sons, 1739 Notre Dame Street, Montreal label verso. In overall good, stable condition. Covered in a thick layer of dirt and discoloured varnish. Area of crazing and cracquelure to the left of the almost centrally placed crop of trees and another along the left hand side edge towards the lower corner. Painting is glazed. Not examined with a UV light. Generally tired, dirty and tatty frame with losses along full length of left hand side.

Kenneth J, ``Thomas Sidney Cooper, His life and Work``, Volume One, p.329 (0.1865.24) In restored condition - cleaned and re-varnished. Paint is slightly thin in some isolated patches in the sky, but mostly retaining good delicate brushwork within the composition. Minor retouching to most edges, most prominently along the top edge and lower especially towards the right hand side. Sporadic minor retouching in the sky, mostly on the right hand side. Light strengthening to the coat of the ewe along the curve of the hind quarters. Some very minor and stable cracquelure here and there.

Original canvas. Large sized cracquelure consistently throughout the sky which is flaking in am mostly horizontal line above the horizon and towards the upper level. Small paint losses along the top edge. Rather pronounced crazing in various areas of the dark paint ( bitumen?) within the vegetation of the foreground. Covered in a layer of dirt and discoloured varnish. Not examined with a UV light.

Size and condition of of Frame :Frame in complete condition with various cracks to the gesso. Odd chip to the corners with rubbed gilt. One small section approx 1cm long missing to the beading on the left hand side. Approx 15cms -17cms wide on each side including slip. Surface dirt and minor rubbing to edges of slip which is slightly loose from frame.

Re-lined, cleaned and re-varnished. Consistent re-touching throughout the sky, around the figure, within his attire, the outline of the horse and within tail and across horizon and less so within the foreground. Overall appearance of the painting is somewhat flat from the restoration process and paint is rather thin in places. Fine - medium sized cracquelure across the surface which is stable. Light surface dirt and discoloyred varnish.
Colin Graeme Roe (fl.1858-1910) Two Setters in a moorland landscape Signed and dated (18)96, oil on canvas, 46cm by 61cm The work is in good original unlined condition with thick impasto in places and delicately applied glazes in the mountains and in the dogs` coat. There is dirt and discoloured varnish across most of the surface. There is some light re-touching in the sky which is now rather dull and possibly starting to discolour slightly. The work is contained within its original late Victorian early Edwardian gilt plaster and wooden frame with inner gilded slip, one or two small pieces of plaster are missing from the frame (220410)

His success and prominence as a leading light in the artistic world was attested by securing many illustrious commissions for portraits, including Queen Anne of Great Britain, Queen Christina of Sweden and Prince George of Denmark, in addition to many members of the British Royal Court and aristocracy. His work is remarkable in depicting the subject in a full length pose, which creates an added presence and sense of importance to the overall impression

DDS79 & HE544 verso, oil on canvas, 53cm by 43cm This is copy of a work by John S Sargent `` A Bedouin Arab`` . In overall good stable and restored condition. Re-lined cleaned and re-varnished. Covered in a thin layer of dirt and discoloured varnish. Two small areas of paint loss along the right hand side edge - one being approx 0.5cms in length and the other more of a chip. There is a small amount of lifting to the paint in this area also. Light cracquelure to areas and a superficial scratch to the top of his headdress. Light surface dirt.
