1932 Austin 7 ArrowRegistration No. RH 6022Chassis No. 141745Engine No. M80629From the stable of Herbert Austin and reputedly designed in the billiard room in his home at Lickey Grange the Baby Austin originally had a capacity of 696cc giving an RAC rating of 7.2HP.   Three prototypes were manufactured at the factory and the car was announced to the public in July 1922.   Nearly 2,300 cars were produced during the first year of manufacture and within a few years the Austin 7 dominated the small car market.   By the time the car was phased out in 1939 some 290,000 cars and vans had been sold.   So successful was the Baby Austin that many firms built the car under Licence.   Notable names included American Austin, Dixi (later to become BMW) and Rosengart in France.  The Model was also the basis for the Austin 7 Swallow which set William Lyons on the road to success and laid the foundations for what was to become Jaguar Cars.   The 7 was offered with many different bodies and this is The Arrow version. First registered in July 1932, the original registration number was successfully reissued in 2005. Coming from the same vendor as lot 224, the Arrow has been subject to the same meticulous restoration.   The car was purchased without a body and the vendor built this copy of the original.   The car is powered by the iconic 750cc engine and is fitted with a four-speed gearbox.   Nicely finished in light blue, everything has been done but for the hood covering, the hood frame is present and fitted.    The Vendor stored the car as he had other projects so it would now benefit from gentle recommissioning and for the hood covering to be made.  It would appear that this is a rare example of the Arrow. The car is offered with a current V5c and will be MOT and tax exempt.   Spares for the Austin 7 are readily available and supported by a very active Club that organises many events.Estimate: £7,000 – 9,000

1974 Bedford CF Sundowner Camper VanRegistration No. UDH 744MChassis No. 97560DY619691Engine No.  3181763Recorded Mileage 69974 The Bedford name was the commercial arm of Vauxhall Motors, they were well known for their reliability and became one of the most popular light commercial manufacturers in the 1950’s and 60’s.  The CF Model was introduced in 1969 and soon became a favourite of the campervan builder with popular names such as Dormobile as well as many others. The earlier models were powered by a 1599cc petrol and 1760cc diesel engines, which was later increased, with the 45-degree inclined OHC 1795cc and extremely popular 2279cc. The latter of which is fitted to the vehicle on offer.  Despite extensive searches we have been unable to find any other of this model with the Sundowner coachwork.UDH 744M was purchased by the Vendor in 1984 and used for many family holidays.   The layout inside being ideally suited for 2 adults and 3 children.  The van interior is quite retro with everything needed for a getaway.   Above the driver’s compartment there are sleeping quarters for one, possibly two, people.   The rear seating/table area converts into a double bed.   Behind the seats there are two hammock-style children’s beds which are easily stowed away for travel or during the day.   There is a two-burner gas hob with grill and oven under.   Opposite is a sink with a retro water heater over, and underneath is a fridge which is gas or electric.   There is a small separate compartment housing a sink and shower unit.   The van also benefits from an onboard water tank.  Also accompanying the van, but not currently fitted, are a full set of curtains. The van has been carefully maintained by a garage local to the vendor and regularly serviced.  It hasn’t been used much in the last couple of years so would benefit from a check over.   The bodywork is generally in good condition but some attention would be needed to the bonnet and the side door, although this closes as it should.Offered for Sale with a current V5c, this van would make a great addition to those who like classic rallies.   There are active Bedford Campervan Clubs as well.Estimate: £2,000 - 3,000

Lot 2011972 Land Rover Series 3, 88 Station WagonReg. number: DKT 516KChassis No:   92100117AEngine No:    TBARecorded Mileage 8780   (108780) Originally introduced in 1948 and fitted with a 1.6 litre petrol engine, the Land Rover was inspired by the WWII wartime Jeep.    Later fitted with a 2 litre engine, the Land Rover progressed through models series 2 and 2A and then the series 3 which was announced in September 1971. This model became one of the longest lived lasting until 1990, gradually becoming less basic as the years went on.   The Series 3 Station Wagon was offered as a short wheelbase 7-seater and a long wheelbase 12-seater.DKT 516K is an example of a largely original and unmolested 7-seater Station Wagon.   The Vendor’s father purchased the car in 1987. Since the Vendor inherited the vehicle in 1999, it has been carefully looked after and used sparingly.    In 2001 the car was treated to a respray and at the same time the bulkhead was replaced.   Other works we are advised that have been carried out over the years include replacement of all springs, axle checkstraps, some seats, all entry steps, a replacement engine fitted in the year 2000 and a replacement chassis in 2018.   The Land Rover has been regularly serviced and was MOT’d until the end of July 2023 despite being MOT and Tax exempt.Finished in an original Land Rover Blue, with some light surface rust, the vehicle presents well and could be used for use of showing ‘as is’. It currently has ordinary tyres on the front and mud pluggers on the rear and is fitted with the larger LWB rims. The spare wheel carrier is sensibly attached to the bodywork rather than the back door.Offered with a Current V5c, and a host of receipts for work carried out as well as several old MOT certificates. Estimate 9000 - 11000

Circa 1951 Ferguson TractorRegistration No. OPP 969Chassis No. TED237538Engine No. TBADesigned by Harry Ferguson, the T20 was by far his most successful design and was commonly known as the little grey Fergie. It marked a major advance in tractor design and featured Ferguson’s invention of the hydraulic design, a system which quickly became the standard around the world and carried on to this day. This design was small and maneuverable and because of its price, it soon replaced the many horses that were still in use on farms after the war. This example was given to the vendor approx. 15 years ago as a birthday present. It was in a rough state and was slowly restored over a couple of years. Many new parts were used and it was painted in the correct iconic grey. Having been stored for the last few years, it will benefit from light recommissioning. Also included with the tractor is a correct period ‘link box’.Estimate: £1,500 - 2,200
