PRINCE BUSTER ALL STARS - IT'S BURKE'S LAW. Scorching original UK Blue Beat LP featuring Mr Cecil Bustamente and his all stars (BB LP 806). The record is in 'fab' Ex condition - almost unprecedented for a Blue Beat original, there are just a couple of light and minor surface/hairline markings. With lovely clean labels. The sleeve (red design/black text) is in well presented Ex condition with slight ringwear and some minor residue on the front (right hand side).

Los 19

SMALL FACES - OGDEN'S NUT GONE FLAKE. An immaculate early UK stereo pressing of the smashing 1968 LP (IMSP 012). Lilac label variation with the writing credits separate from the track titles. The record is in superlative Ex+ or archive condition with very few markings - there are perhaps one or two extremely faint and wispy markings visible under very strong light. 1Y/2Y matrix endings. The iconic circular 'five panel' sleeve is in remarkable Ex+ condition with but slight wear - all sections are fully intact and with little creasing, folds or bends. An exceptional copy.

Los 21

ART - SUPERNATURAL FAIRY TALES (MONO UK ORIGINAL ILP 967). The mind melting 1967 from Art, who would shortly after change their name to Spooky Tooth... 1st UK mono pressing on Island with the black/orange bullseye labels (ILP 967). The record is in clean Ex condition with just a couple of light surface markings typically running with the groove. There are certainly no heavier marks and no scratches at all. The textured labels are in very clean order. The fully laminated sleeve is in glossy Ex condition with a small crease on the top right (front). A cracking copy.

Los 22

OBERON - A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM - The wonderful self released 1971 LP from Oberon - this is one of only 99 copies pressed. The band members were only teenagers when they recorded this beautiful album that has Folk at its heart; there are arrangements of traditional songs such as Nottanum Town and Summertime, but also brilliant guitar work from Chris Smith on Peggy and the album ventures into pure Psychedelia with The Hunt; says Robin Clutterbuck (vocals/guitar): "For me, the most exciting track - lots of interesting ideas and changes of mood. Medieval?" Side 1 is in VG+ condition with a couple of light hairline and surface markings. There are no scratches or heavier markings at all. Side 2 is in Ex condition with just a couple of very light and minor wispy paper scuffs. Annie Turnhill, a flautist who has collabortated with Charlie Seaward has her name written on the side 1 label. Matrix: OBE LPS 1A & 1B. The sleeve is signed by flautist Charlie Seaward and Annie has written on the top right hand side of the reverse. Condition of the sleeve is VG+ with some light ringwear and couple of light stains on the reverse. The record has been played and there are no issues whatsoever, there is only very low surface noise in the piano or pianissimo sections. Jeremy 'Bernie' Birchall (bass) said of the release: "It was self-released but recorded by Colin Sanders who ran the local Oxford Acorn label. We printed up 99 copies of the album because this was the maximum number you could have without paying some extra tax."

Los 23

THE BEATLES - SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND (UK STEREO WIDE SPINE). An extremely clean original UK stereo 'wide spine' copy of the pioneering 1967 LP (PCS 7027 -1/-1). With 'Sold In UK', 'The Gramophone Co.' on the labels and 'Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd.' sleeve. The record is in superb Ex+ condition - an almost flawless copy, there are perhaps just a couple of extremely faint and wispy markings under strong light. Complete with unused cut-out and 'psych' inner. The sleeve is in stunning Ex+ condition - one of the best we have seen, there is just a trace amount of ringwear on the reverse and a tiny bit of wear to the laminate. Spectacularly clean spine measuring 8mm.

Los 24

THE BEATLES - LET IT BE - PXS 1 ORIGINAL BOX SET. A lovely complete copy of the iconic 1st UK pressing of Let It Be (PCX 7096/'PXS 1' set). The record is in ace Ex+ condition with just one or two extremely faint and wispy markings. The red apple sleeve is in Ex+ condition with slight laminate wear. The 'get back' book is in very clean condition with no loose pages. The original inner tray is in Ex condition and has even been 'supported' by black foam to support it! The 'holding' tray is in VG+ condition with a few light scuff markings. The outer casing is in Ex condition with just a little wear to the laminate. A superb copy all round!

Los 25

THE BEATLES - THE WHITE ALBUM - (UK STEREO PCS 7067/7068). Another incredibly clean album with the famous double LP that was prototypical of the time (UK original top loading stereo number 0451854). With 'Sold In UK', 'An EMI Recording', '33 1/3' and 'Mfd. In UK' texts and -1/-1/-1/-1 original matrix endings. Both records are in superb Ex+ condition with just a couple of extremely minor, faint and wispy paper markings. Lovely clean labels all round. Complete with the 4 photos, poster and black inners all presented in superb condition. The embossed gatefold sleeve is in Ex+ condition - a lovely example with very little wear, there is just some rather light and minor creasing to small parts of the laminate.

Los 31

P. P. ARNOLD - THE FIRST LADY OF IMMEDIATE (IMSP 011) . The cracking debut LP from the then 22 year old P. P. Arnold, a must have LP if you think you're groovy! 1st UK Immediate pressing (IMSP 011). The record is in glossy Ex condition with just a couple of rather light and faint paper scuff markings. The sleeve is in solid VG condition with just a couple of rather light sticker removal marks on the front.

Los 32

KATIE MELUA - CALL OFF THE SEARCH. The fantastic debut release from Katie Melua who pooled together a wealth of musical expertise on this LP including Chris Spedding on guitar! The record is in superb Ex+ condition with very few markings indeed - there is just some slight wear to the label. Complete with Ex+ condition printed inner. The sleeve is in clean Ex condition with just a little light wear on the front. A lovely copy of a lovely album!

Los 35

INTRODUCING DONALD BYRD & KENNY BURRELL ON ESQUIRE RECORDS (x3). Unprecedented 'bundle' (both in terms of rarity and condition) of 3 x original UK Esquire LPs featuring Donald Byrd, Kenny Burrell, Hank Mobley, Art Taylor, Phil Woods and Mal Waldron (amongst others!) Titles are All Night Long (32-140 - Ex+ perhaps just a couple of extremely faint and wispy marks/Ex+ sleeve with slight ringwear on the front), All Day Long (32-107 - strong Ex record with just a couple of rather light hairline markings/Ex a little damage to the laminate on the left hand side of the front) and The Young Bloods (32-060 - Ex+ superb condition record with few markings/Ex+ slight wear to the laminate).

Los 36

OUR FIRST FOUR - APPLE PROMO. The exceptionally rare very 1st Apple package! Joachim Noske (The Beatles Covered) states: "Encased in a black cardboard folder came the first four singles on the newly launched Apple label, by The Beatles themselves and three other acts. Not for sale in the shops, this presentation folder was for promotional purposes only and only distributed among the media in 1968." All four records are in very clean to Ex+ condition with perhaps just a couple of extremely faint and wispy markings - they are presented here in their original folders with the mounts for the records still all firmly in place. The four presentation folders are in excellent condition with only very minor wear. The outer box is in G+ condition with noted wear/creasing to all edges and some light tears.

Los 37

WIMPLE WINCH - RUMBLE ON MERSEY SQUARE SOUTH/ATMOSPHERES 7" MISPRESS (TF 781). The mind-blowing double header from the manic Merseyside outfit, this extremely rare Fontana 45 of Rumble On Mersey Square South c/w Atmospheres (this is the astonishingly hard to find mispressing, B side is labelled Typical British Workmanship) will indeed blow your socks off! The record is in VG condition with surface markings, some scuffs and a couple of light scratches to the playing surfaces. The labels are in good order with the three pronged centre fully intact. Both sides have been played and the tasting notes are as such: A side with very little surface noise on the intro, nice and clear vocals at the start of the track. Some light pops in the middle of the track. The ever so raucous 'meltdown' sounds monstrous with very little distortion. When the dynamic decreases towards the end of the track, there is little disturbance. A staggering side that can be fully enjoyed. B side with the almost as raucous guitar motif sounding killer, this is heard later in the track an octave higher and with more decoration, also sounding ace. Minor surface noise in the 'breaks' of the track. The harmonies later on in the track are lovely and clear. A couple of light pops towards the end of the track. Both sides have no skips or jumps. Complete with original company sleeve.

Los 4

LED ZEPPELIN - I (1ST UK PRESSING). The must have for any Led Zep fan, a true 1st 'uncorrected' UK pressing of the band's tremendous, iconic and highly influential debut LP (Atlantic 588171). With Superhype Music credits for tracks A1, 2, 4, B1, 2, 3 and 5. Jewel Music credits for tracks A3 and B4. The record is in very neat VG+ condition. There are some light surface and hairline markings, but this is as far as it goes. There is certainly nothing of a heavier nature and certainly no scratches. The labels are nice and clean with some light spindle markings. MATRIX: *UNCORRECTED ON BOTH SIDES* 588171 A1 1 2 4 + B1 1 (2 other symbols in the runout cannot be made out but are possibly an inverted 2 and 6). The turquoise title, grey stripe 1st issue sleeve is in very well presented Ex condition with just a little wear to the laminate and some slight edgewear. A top copy.

Los 40

SANDY DENNY/CAT STEVENS - UNRELEASED ISLAND EP. Unlikely to come across again unreleased Island EP believed to be from 1972 featuring 2 tracks apiece from Sandy and Cat. (IEP-1-1 & IEP-3-1 matrix). Track titles are (Sandy) - It'll Take A Long Time and Bushes & Briars and (Cat) - Sitting and Can't Keep It In. These tracks would appear on the respective 1972 albums Sandy Denny (S/T) and Catch Bull At Four. Issued with white labels and hand written artists. The record is in Ex condition with a few light surface markings on the B side.

Los 41

PINK FLOYD - UK COLUMBIA SINGLES. Terrific and very well presented pack of 4 of the 5 original UK (all four pronged centres) Columbia singles from The Floyd in their most creative period. Titles are Arnold Layne (DB 8156 - Ex+ with just a couple of extremely faint and wispy surface markings, a lovely copy), It Would Be So Nice (DB 8401 - Ex with a few light surface markings, nothing of a heavier nature whatsoever), Point Me At The Sky (DB 8511 - VG+ some light surface markings, certainly no scratches) and See Emily Play (DB 8214 - Ex with a couple of minor and light surface markings). Complete with Ex condition company sleeves (three green and one red).

Los 42

THE ROLLING STONES - GOLDEN B SIDES - UK TEST PRESSING. Almost impossible to find original Decca Factory Sample of the unreleased 1973 compilation album (hand written artist, title, matrix and cat. number SKL 5165). The record is in great clean Ex condition with just a couple of very light, faint and wispy markings. The distinctive pink labels are in fantastic condition. Matrix: XEAL-12365 P-1W & XEAL-12364 P-1W.

Los 43

THE BEATLES - THE WHITE ALBUM - UK 1ST MONO - NUMBER 0002259 - A lovely and well presented 1st UK mono pressing of the seminal eponymous double LP, with this definitely warranting the phrase 'low number', this is number 0002259! PMC 7067/7068 with 'Sold In UK', 'Mfd. In UK' and no 'An EMI Recording'. Record 1 is in VG+ condition with a few light surface markings that are never heavier in nature. Matrix/stampers: XEX 709-1 4 GDM & 710-1 5 GRT. Record 2 is in similar VG+ condition with again, just a few rather light surface markings that are largely restricted to side 3, side 4 is graded as Ex. Matrix/stampers: XEX 711-1 2 TR & 712-1 6 GDD. Complete with the four original photographs, the poster and black inners. The fully laminated, top loading, embossed sleeve is in neat Ex condition with only rather minor wear to the laminate and, again only minor wear to the bottom edge of the reverse. A lovely copy.

Los 45

SEX PISTOLS - ANARCHY IN THE UK 7" - CHRIS THOMAS CREDITS. A superb example of the original UK pressing of the debut cut from the Pistols (EMI 2566 with 'Produced By Chris Thomas' on both sides - this label error was very quickly changed as Dave Goodman actually produced the track). The record is in exceptional Ex+ or archive condition - there are very few markings to note even under very strong and intense light. The labels are extremely clean and the lack of any real spindle markings indicate that this has been played sparingly! Matrix/stampers: EMI 2566 A-1 1 M & 2566 B-2 1 M. Complete with the original 'generic' black sleeve which is in VG+ with some light wear to the edges. A brilliant copy of one of the great political statements in the post-British Invasion history of music.

Los 46

ALAIN GORAGUER - LA PLANETE SAUVAGE - Mind blowing soundtrack recording from Roland Topor's 1973 animated cult classic 'Fantastic Planet', composed by Serge Gainsbourg's right hand man Alain Goraguer! Original French Pathe recording (2C 066-12.698). Side 1 is in superb Ex+ condition with very few markings. Side 2 is in Ex condition with a light surface mark towards the end of the side. The gatefold sleeve is in Ex condition with a very light sign of a seam split on the inside top section of the gatefold. A fantastique copy.

Los 49

SAVOY BROWN - A superb selection of 3 x very clean original UK pressing LPs. Titles are Shake Down (UK 1st mono unboxed LK 4935, ? 1967" is at left just above Rights Society on both sides - Ex+ record in very fine condition indeed with perhaps just one or two extremely faint and wispy markings/Ex great sleeve with just a little ringwear on the reverse), Getting To The Point (1st UK mono unboxed LK 4935 - Ex+ record with just a couple of very faint markings, light spindle wear/strong Ex quite minor wear to the laminate) and A Step Further (1st UK stereo SKL 5013 - Ex+ exceptional condition record, complete with original stereo inner/Ex+ very clean sleeve).

Los 5

QUEEN - BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY (PURPLE RE) & MADE IN HEAVEN (WHITE) SEALED. 2 x fantastic limited edition Queen releases... Titles are Bohemian Rhapsody (official 1995 purple vinyl reissue of the fabled 1975 release, QUEEN DJ 95 hand numbered 730 - Ex clean record only a couple of very light marks/VG with wear to 3 of the four edges) and Made In Heaven (original UK 7243 8 36088 1 2, Mint and still sealed with original 'limited edition colour vinyl' sticker and original HMV sticker).

Los 54

JOY DIVISION - AN IDEAL FOR LIVING (PSS 139). Heading back to December 1977 - that was when four young lads, Ian, Peter, Bernard and Stephen would lay down their first EP; 'this is not a concept EP it is an enigma'. This is a very well presented 1st UK pressing (Enigma PSS 139, serated rim and matrix/runout PSS 139 EP A1 EG & PSS 139 EP B1 EG). The record is in Ex condition. There are a couple of rather light and minor surface markings to the playing surfaces - at no point are these of a heavier nature with no scratches at all. Clean labels with some light spindle markings. The four panel sleeve is in clean Ex condition. There is only very light disclouration and some minor creasing to the 'joining' edges. A wonderful piece of history.

Los 55

FAC-2 - A FACTORY SAMPLE - The fabled first release from Factory Records featuring Joy Division, The Durutti Column, John Dowie and Cabaret Voltaire (FAC-2). Both records are in superb Ex+ condition with perhaps just a couple of very faint, minor and wispy markings to the playing surfaces. Does not contain the stickers. The gatefold 'laminated' sleeve is in VG+ condition with some light creasing that is common with this release. There are no rips or tears.

Los 56

THE BEATLES - LET IT BE - PXS 1 BOX SET - A very neat example of the 'green apple' pressing of the iconic 'PXS 1' Let It Be set. This copy is complete with the 'Get Back' book, the original inner and holding trays and original slip case design outer. The LP (PCS 7096) has ?1970 at the 3 O Clock position and -3U/-4 matrix endings. The record is in superb Ex+ or archive condition and looks to have been played sparingly. The green apple sleeve is in superb Ex+ condition with just slight wear. The book is in very good condition with no loose pages; the front cover has some light wear to the laminate. The inner and holding trays are in VG+ condition with a few light creases. The outer 'designed by John Kosh' sleeve is in Ex condition with some minor wear to the laminate. A top copy.

Los 6

IVEYS - WALK OUT IN THE RAIN - APPLE 7" ACETATE. Unlikely to see again single sided 7" Apple 'Custom Recording' acetate from Iveys (pre-Badfinger) - and a different recording to the final studio version. This track was issued on Badfinger's 1970 LP Magic Christian Music with the title 'Walk In The Rain'. The playing surface is in clean Ex condition with just a couple of rather light and minor surface marks - somewhat unprecedented for an acetate recording of this age. With a clean and well presented label. Machine stamped 945AA on the non-playing side. A beautiful tune, this early recording features Pete Ham effectively sounding live; there are slight changes in tempo that would be changed in the final version - this version did not appear until the 2010 reissue.

Los 60

THE HOBBIT - FIRST AND LAST. Immeasurably scarce original Deroy Sound Service issued LP of The Hobbit's First And Last album (DER 709). The record is in G+ (visual)/VG (playing) condition. There are surface markings and some scuffs to both sides with one or two light scratches. Playback is as follows: Side 1 with surface noise, largely noted in the quieter sections. Still a very enjoyable listen with no skips or jumps. Side 2 has similar surface noise, again more apparent in the quieter sections, once again this is never excessive with no skips or jumps. Side 1 label has some light 'bubbling'. The sleeve is in G+ condition. Intact, there is some general ring/edgewear, this is never too serious. On the reverse, there are signs of water damage on the middle to upper left hand section and this has left some light staining. Still a very enjoyable copy with a particular favourite of ours being the Joni Mitchell cover 'Both Sides Now' which is very much in the style of The Velvet Underground's Femme Fatale... Very cool stuff on Deroy, which collectors' are surely aware of that their releases (including this one) were limited to 99 copies.

Los 62

COMPLEX - THE WAY WE FEEL. The stunning 2nd LP from the Blackpool boys, this being the almost impossible to find original Deroy pressing (DER 671 S). The record is in fantastic Ex+ condition with only a couple of extremely faint, light and trace like paper markings. With extremely clean labels with just a couple of very faint spindle markings. The record plays exceptionally well. The fragile original sleeve is in VG+ condition. Very much a 'home made' design, there is just a little 'bubbling' nature to the design and some light ringwear to the reverse. A small name 'Lee' is written in pen on the top right of the front. Arguably more musically adventurous than the eponymous first album, these exceptional Steve Coe penned tracks take us through huge organ led garage monsters drenched with Psychedelia to simple, well written catchy Pop classics!

Los 7

IVEYS - GIVE IT A TRY - APPLE 7" ACETATE. Another fantastic piece of Badfinger history with this 7" Apple 'Custom Recording' acetate. This track was issued on Badfinger's 1970 LP Magic Christian Music. The playing surface is in neat Ex condition with just a couple of light scuff marks; these are only very light and there are certainly no heavier marks or scratches of any nature. Clean label with only minor discolouration.

Los 9

THE QUIK - LOVE IS A BEAUTIFUL THING. What a monster we have here with this original Deram 45 (DM 121) - a fuzzy, glorious, organ led killer that just melts into pure mayhem! The A side is in super Ex+ condition with just one or two extremely faint and wispy markings. The flip 'Bert's Apple Crumble' is in Ex condition with a small sticker on the label and a couple of very light surface markings.
