A fine Japanese Satsuma pottery vessel and cover by Shozan Kinsei, Meiji period, of slab square sided vase form, with twin applied scroll handles and domed cover with two quatrefoil pierced holes and scroll finial, finely painted in enamels and gilt, one side with a panel depicting a lady sitting making silk thread, drawing it from a vessel set with a fire below and winding the thread onto a wooden frame, a small girl crouches gazing into the fire feeding it with sticks, a cockerel can been seen through the large window with views to a snowy mountain in the distance, to the other side with a flock of birds amongst flowing branches by a stream, both panels surrounded by a gilt greek key border, all reserved on a millefleurs ground of a mass of densely clustered chrysanthemums, peonies and morning glory, raised on four small feet to each corner, gilt on black seal mark to base 'Shozan kinsei' in a double gilt lined border, 12.3 by 6.0 by 12.5cm high. Some damage and partial repairs to internal rim / seat for the cover. Otherwise in very good condition, with only light wear to the gilding, handles and feet show no signs of repair of damage at all.
A fine Japanese Satsuma pottery miniature vase by Yabu Meizan, Meiji period, of compressed ovoid form, the body decorated with autumnal maple trees, the leaves picked out in pale green and iron red enamels with gilt highlights, against a cream ground covered in a light crackled glaze, gilt seal mark to base, 8.7 by 6.5cm high.
A fine Japanese Satsuma pottery miniature bottle vase by Yabu Meizan, Meiji period, with long slender neck and flared rim, the neck decorated with millefleurs, the body with twenty six figures playing various games, including a circle of eleven playing a card game and four drinking tea, against a cream ground covered in a light crackled glaze, gilt signature seal mark to base, a/f chip to rim, 5.3 by 12.1cm high.
A good Japanese Satsuma pottery miniature vase, Meiji period, of slender ovoid form with flared gilt rim and spreading foot, decorated to the shoulder and upper body with a millefleurs design, with five butterflies flying amongst the trailing flowers, against a cream ground covered in a light crackled glaze, partial gilt signature to base, 5.3 by 11.8cm high.
A Dutch 830 silver collared twisted glass decanter etched with pastoral landscape, 21.5cm high, together with a further silver collared decanter of fluted form, a dimpled coloured glass decanter with decorative leaf shoulders, and a pair of Chinese brass tea light holders, each 13cm high. (5)

A Victorian gilt metal mounted dress dirk together with integral knife and forkThe scabbard with Highland Light Infantry insignia, the studded carved bog oak handles each with inset citrine coloured stones, the scabbard decorated with thistle motifs, the main blade etched with the regimental battle honours. 46 cm long. CONDITION REPORTS: Some gilt wear/loss, some light rust wear to blades and tines of fork, some leather wear, some pin size holes to main handle, one stud lacking, some metal wear/loss to around top of main handle, some foil wear behind stones, general wear.
Two large photograph albums belonging to an officer in the Indian Army's 28th Light Cavalry with over 400 black and white images of military operations, holidays and recreational pastimes in the main during the period 1900-1930, a wonderful collection encapsulating all that was the British RajSubjects include Pre-WWI operations on the North West Frontier Province, operations with the Seistan Field Force and the East Persian Cordon 1915-1920 (preventing the infiltration of German and Ottoman agents from Persia (Iran) into Afghanistan and later operations in Russian Turkestan against the Bolsheviks) and training Indian cavalry. Travels throughout India including Kashmir, Naini Tal and other famous Indian cities and sites, China or Hong Kong, shikar (hunting), pig sticking, big game hunting, leopard and buffalo, duck and partridge shooting, polo, capturing wild elephants in Assam and many informal group shots of officers, family and friends, shooting parties, house servants and indigenous peoples. A Cartier guilloche enamel decorated silver strutt clockThe white enamelled dial with Roman and Arabic numerals inscribed Cartier Paris Londres, the strutt inscribed Cartier. 11.5 cm high, 10.5 cm wide. CONDITION REPORTS: Generally in good condition, some light surface wear/scratching, some enamel losses and restoration to enamel beading around dial, some later inscribed numbers to reverse, general wear.

All 37 x 24 cm (4) CONDITION REPORTS: 'For Sale Without Reserve' has three very small holes and some scuffing, the others are generally good with some very light marks/staining, some wear to frames.
