A samurai armour dating: early 19th Centuryprovenance: JapanZunari kabuto with three-plate iron hachi, covered with smooth, dark lacquer (small parts missing); with circular, metallic maedate; four-plate iron shikoro with reddish lacquer and blue strings. Black lacquered, iron menpo (later) with detachable nose, horsehair mustache and gilt teeth, without yodarekake. Dark lacquered do with light blue strings. Complete with kote, haidate and suneate. Late Edo period. The wooden stand not included.dimensions: height elmo 25 cm.

A rare helmet and armour parts dating: 18th Centuryprovenance: ChinaSilver-plated, metallic skull of conical shape, decorated with beautiful, gilt brass mounts, at the top a plume-holder resting on a bulb-shaped, pierced base featuring a cabochon glass stone, small brim with pierced and engraved dragons, two more plaques depicting dragons near the central mount, this one too provided with a red glass cabochon; provided with fabric nape-guard and cheek-pieces (some damages and parts missing), lined with light blue silk, the external surface of polychrome fabric, with brass studs and one plaque. Together with two gilt brass mounts decorated en suite with the helmet, probably part of the same armour suite.dimensions: height elmo circa 55 cm.
