JOY DIVISION - AN IDEAL FOR LIVING 7" EP (ENIGMA RECORDS 1978 ORIGINAL - PSS 139). Finishing off this phenomenal section of the sale with a tremendously clean original UK copy (self-released on Enigma Records PSS 139) of Joy Division's elusive debut release, An Ideal For Living. This is the first pressing with serrated rim and matrix/runout PSS 139 EP A1 EG & PSS 139 EP B1 EG. The record is in superb overall Ex condition. The A side is in sublime Ex+ condition showing very few marks, there is a light surface mark at the start of the B side. With lovely clean and sharp labels showing only a few minor spindle marks. The original four-panel sleeve is in stunning Ex+ condition. There is very little wear throughout with none of the usual creasing on the 'joining' edges. There is also very little discolouration to the 'white' colour with this copy appearing to have only been handled sparingly and extremely carefully over its 43 year existence... A delightful copy of the EP that 'wasn't a concept but an enigma'...

THE GROUT - DO IT YOURSELF EP (ORIGINAL UK PRESSING - URINATING VICAR MUSIC - GR). Completely monster Punk rarity with this fantastic condition complete original EP from The Grout, one of only 99 copies made. Generously consigned to us by original member Chris Higginbotham (whose alias was 'Chris Mass!'), this copy was originally given to his brother. The record (green labels, ridged rim), is in superb Ex+. Appearing seldom played, there are perhaps a couple of extremely faint, slight and wispy paper marks noted. With minor wear to the labels. No insert with this copy. The very fragile hand-made original sleeve is in VG condition. Unfortunately, the sleeve has at some stage been 'split' resulting in the sleeve now appearing to be 'gatefold'. With some light paper tears where this has occurred. The sleeve could likely be restored with careful restoration. Complete with a handwritten letter from Chris which is signed by all members of the band. Quite literally the epitome of DIY Punk!
