An interesting Volunteer sidearm in the style of a hunting hanger, slightly curved saw backed blade, 24", brass crossguard (similar to that on a cavalry officer’s boat shell guard), staghorn grip, brass cap and ball pommel, in its leather scabbard with military style locket, middle band and chape, with hanging rings. GC (chain knucklebow missing, blade polished over light pitting with heavy patches at tip, hole in locket)

A late Vic 1821 pattern heavy cavalry officer’s sword, almost straight fullered blade 35", by Wilkinson no 31110 (1891), etched with crowned R Arms and cypher within elaborate panels, regulation ‘honeysuckle’ hilt, and a Geo 1803 pattern light company infantry officer’s sabre, broad curved blade 29", gilt brass cross guard and lion’s head pommel (knucklebow missing), both with wirebound fishskin grips. A scarce .177" Abas Major underlever air pistol, c 1946, number 1797, the trigger guard/cocking lever stamped "Abas" on one side and "Reg Design 845425, A A Brown & Sons, B’ham" on the other side, loading tap at breech, chequered brown plastic grips.
