Pattern Euros and Euro-Cents (262 pieces): A hoard of Paris Mint, Etablissement de Pessac Euro essais c.1996-1998. These trial pieces are among the first official experiments into the production of the Euro coinage. There are 26 varieties here, in various quantities as listed below. Ordinarily these are rarely encountered. Research and market prices can be found directly at http://www.amisdeleuro.org/index.php?id=330. Complete sets can be assembled from the coins included in this lot. All items have been carefully sorted and identified, highlighting varieties unknown to the `amisdeleuro` researcher. These pieces are of potentially great numismatic importance for the future considering that they are among the earliest Euros and Euro minors produced.
