Ivory centre flowerhead medallion on a soft red centre medallion; pale blue cartouche shaped field and light red spandrels with all over scrolling Shah Abbas design; dark blue palmette and floral main border within light red and ivory floral guards. A very pretty carpet woven in a superb soft palette, especially the pale blue.

Light red field with two large ivory medallions featuring a mid-blue inner medallion with pale yellow rectangle centres with star within; the lower ivory medallion outlined in pale green; the top ivory medallion outlined in pale yellow; small stepped medallions in each corner; the two medallions in the centre of confronting arrowheads; wide ivory leaf and calyx main border; pale green, pale blue and pale yellow guards; the outer guard changing from pale green at the lower end to pale yellow at the top end. Lustrous wool and rich palette.
