Top centre with small crazed and stained marks, and also bottom centre and bottom centre left.
A pair of famille rose Vases, Republic period, each pear-shaped body painted with windows of precious objects, reserved on a pink sgraffito ground, enamelled with lotus, underglaze blue, six character mark of Yongzheng, 19.5cm (2) ?? ????????????????????? ??®??????¯?????, Light rubbing to gilding on both rims, otherwise no obvious faults.

A fine jade Brush Pot, 17th/18th century, of oval section and with waved rim, carved with the `Three Friends`, a pheasant perched in the branches of the prunus, all growing above rock work, the stone pale to dark grey, with brown areas, 12.2cm ???/???? ????????????, A very fine 3.5cm crack running down from the rim and through a branch. Some light surface scratches. Otherwise no obvious faults.

A fine cloisonn‚ incense Burner and Cover, 18th century, the bun body pale blue and with scrolling lotus flowers, between blue and white cloud borders, set on three gilt pierced dragon feet, the shoulders with two chilong handles, the domed cover with pierced gilt lotus scroll below a domed reserve, with six blue bats, finger citrus, gourds and peaches, surmounted by a Buddhist lion and pups, 17.5cm (2) ????? ???????????????????????, Some very light rubbing throughout but more pronounced on both handles. Two feet slightly loose, one with some cloisons missing and slight damage directly above.
A silver Betel Nut Box and Cover, mid 19th century, in the form of a butterfly alighting on a gourd, the sides engraved with endless knots and shou, in three divisions for betel nut, lime and paan leaf, stamped Shu wu, zu wen, xiang, dents, wear, 8.8cm By repute this box was looted from the Summer Palace by Captain Bryan Charles Fairfax of the Durham Light Infantry. With the lot is a manuscript note apparently listing the items, including the box, to be given to Christopher Firth by Fairfax. Col. Bryan Charles Fairfax CMF (1873-1950) Col. Kiln grit covering part of the mark and also around the foot rim. Shallow Bowl - Fritting to rim.
