These books have been put together by someone who had considerable knowledge and understanding of the boxing world, some have additional notation. Boxers include Frank Bruno and Mike Tyson and many boxing greats; also an album of local boxers from the 1920's and 30's including a black and white photograph of Jim Pockett, Army & RAF Light Heavyweight Champion 1931; black and white photograph of Hal Bagwell Gloucester champion; other albums feature both national and international champions, some with notation in Bob Symonds hand, programs, flyers or ticket stubs, souvenir picture cut-outs including Cassius Clay, Ken Buchanan, Alan Rudkin, Jimmy Revie, Bunny Sterling, Chris Finnegan, Mark Rowe, Johnny Clark, Johnny Frankham, Jack Bodell, Joe Frazier, another large scrap book dedicated to Mike Tyson covering all aspects of his colourful career and a scrapbook dedicated to Joe Louis (Bomber Brown).

Jimmy Jury and Freddie Mills boxing interest - two scrap books belonging to Jimmy Jury (Bournemouth) professional boxer (1937-1949) where he has documented his career with a quantity of newspaper cuttings, official programmes, admission tickets, personal letters, Post Office telegram, a contract between Promoter and Boxer for Jimmy Jury to challenge Tommy Barnham at the Queensbury Club 1945, letter from British Boxing Board of Control to Jimmy Jury. The scrap book contains a very nice black and white photograph of Jimmy Jury at the weigh-in at Watford Town Hall for his fight against Watford Welterweight Billy Hawkins a contest he won with a knock-out in the 7th round. A handwritten letter from Freddie Mills to Jimmy Jury dated 1944. A photograph of Bob Turner and Jimmy Jury prior to weigh-in for Thompson fight. The second scrap book dated 1946 contains predominantly official programmes, newspaper cuttings, a programme signed by Stan Hawthorne and Josef Preys and one or two personal letters. This lot continues with a photo postcard of Jimmy Jury to his mother inscribed 'To a Real Good Mother From Jim', another personal letter from Freddie Mills to Jimmy Jury. A black and white photograph of Jimmy Jury and Tommy Shaw which was to be his last fight on Friday 10th June 1949 (framed) and a black and white photograph of Freddie Mills (World Light Heavyweight Champion from 1948 to 1950) with an inscription to verso dedicating the photograph to Jimmy signed to Jimmy Jury (framed). A couple of black and white photographs of Sam McKeown's boxing booth Bournemouth where Jimmy Jury's career began. This lot includes a collage to Jimmy Jury(Western Area Lightweight Champion), it includes a black and white studio photograph of Jimmy, on the boxing booth in Plymouth, together with a photograph of Jimmy in later years with Glen Moody and Gilbert Allnutt framed and glazed.
