A charming 6 shot 160 bore self cocking bar hammer semi open frame transitional percussion revolver, 9½” overall, octagonal barrel 4” engraved “J Harkom, Edinburgh” and with plunger type rammer beneath; B’ham proved; the fluted cylinder with chambers numbered 1 to 6, the lower frame strap with spring catch which releases the barrel allowing it to be unscrewed; the frame, hammer and trigger guard with scroll engraved decoration, the hammer pierced for sighting and with hand operated safety catch beneath which is released automatically when the hammer is raised; the finely chequered walnut butt with vacant rectangular GS escutcheon.
