1930s POSTER 'Wolseley Hornets cross to France for 45/6 by Townsend Channel Ferry from Dover'. Townsend Ferries were the first to transport cars across the Channel from 1928 onwards and the ship depicted is almost certainly the SS Forde which was used from 1930. Poster measures 41" x 14" (105cm x 35cm) and has been framed behind acrylic. A few nicks and light folds discernible but it displays very well indeed. [1]

Probably the earliest surviving railway poster we have come across. [1]

A total of 78 proposals are listed, many with track diagrams in colour. Several of the Bills are for London and the books includes a large fold-out map of London showing the proposals there. A fascinating historical record. Covers are worn, the contents are very good. [1]
London Transport OFFICIAL'S PLATE with id number 179 from the first series of 1934.
