The Great Train Robbery - Ronnie Biggs (1929-2013) - a collection of x3 A4 autographed humorous photographs of Biggs, each with crude captions upon them. One photograph shows Biggs alongside Bridego Bridge, the site of the Robbery. All hand signed in black ink by Biggs to light areas of the image. Obtained personally by the vendor.

A WWI First World War medal and effects relating to one 37802 Private Edward Henry Collins of the Oxford & Buckinghamshire (Bucks) Light Infantry, serving in India. The collection comprising his War Medal (no ribbon), a hallmarked silver fob medal engraved ' CC - India - E. Collins - CF- 1917 ' (likely an inter-regimental Football medal), and x3 original photographs of Collins and his Company. The first photograph showing the Company football team ' A. Coy - Cornwallis Barracks - Bangalore, India '. The second photograph showing Collins in ' The Staff - Range Camp - Wellington - India ' and the third photograph being another of football interest, with Collins labelled as ' Dad ' underneath. Also supplied with two of Collins' post-war hallmarked silver and enamel Masonic medals - each supplied within the original presentation cases. Interesting collection. Collins was born in Thornbury, Bristol, and died in 1973. Consigned from the family.

Original owner’s name to reverse. The owner served in the Durham Light Infantry and the Northumberland Fusiliers, and was wounded in France- British Army map of Amiens, published by the Ordnance Survey, Southampton for the Geographical Section General Staff 1916. Code 2364 to bottom left corner. On folding linen size 88 by 66 cm. Scale 1:100,000. Key gives information on many geographical features and has an explanation of French names for them. Soldier’s name in pencil above front cover.

Some surface marks. Possible light rubbing to some of the gilt. No other damage found.
