A framed and glazed WWI black and white photograph depicting a large amount of troops of the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry "leaving for the war" (see inscription to reverse) in August 1914, from the Curragh, County Kildare together with a contemporary framed and glazed French print: The Armistice Du 11 Novembre 1918 depicting the train in a wooden siding of Marshall Foch. The Duke of Cornwalls Light Infantry were deployed to Ireland to defend the 'Curragh Mutiny' and mobilised for war on 5 August 1914. They took part in every major battle on the Western front together with a framed and glazed French print commemorating the 11th November 1918 Armistice.
