A good quality George III style glazed mahogany pedestal tall display cabinet, 20th Century The full length lockable door enclosing three glass shelves, raised on shaped bracket feet, being fitted with an alarm as well as being illuminated by single spot light, approx 200cm high by 70cm wide by 70cm deep. A framed and glazed WWI black and white photograph depicting a large amount of troops of the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry "leaving for the war" (see inscription to reverse) in August 1914, from the Curragh, County Kildare together with a contemporary framed and glazed French print: The Armistice Du 11 Novembre 1918 depicting the train in a wooden siding of Marshall Foch. The Duke of Cornwalls Light Infantry were deployed to Ireland to defend the 'Curragh Mutiny' and mobilised for war on 5 August 1914. They took part in every major battle on the Western front together with a framed and glazed French print commemorating the 11th November 1918 Armistice.
