A Victorian silver cased and tortoiseshell mounted mantle clock of lancet form raised on stepped bracket feet, the movement with white enamelled dial and Roman numerals by Wright & Davies, London, 1896, 8.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS We are not clock specialists and do not sell anything in working order. Unable to get to the mechanism easily so cannot comment on it. Various light scratches to the case, some light dents to the case. Appears to be some fine cracks in the dial including one ranging from the nos 4 - 6 along the edge. Various general small signs of wear and tear through age and use throughout. Some pitted like black marks. Suggest viewing in person

A George II silver baluster shaped mug with scroll work handle, raised on a circular foot (by Thomas Whipham and William Williams, 1741), approx 12.5 cm high, 11.75 oz CONDITION REPORTS Some small dents around the rim which is not circular. The body with various shallow small dents throughout. The surface does not feel smooth and is undulating due to denting. The foot is no longer circular and there are some marks to the base. Light scratches throughout and general signs of wear and tear.

A three piece Chinese silver tea set, the teapot of squat round form decorated with birds on prunus blossom set branches, raised on a circular foot, 12 cm high, together with matching milk jug and twin-handled sugar bowl, stamped "LUENWO Shanghai" to base with Chinese characters, approx 27.3 oz total weight, CONDITION REPORTS The teapot has a dent to the lid and a dent to the top of the finial. All over light scratches and small dents. The ivory on the handle is cracked. Handle is not perpendicular to the teapot and is bending round slightly. Foot is not circular.Sugar bowl has dents to the base and scratches to the body. Some small dents to the body.Cream jug has dents to the spout and scratches to the body. Small shallow dents.All items with various general signs of wear and tear throughout conducive with age and use.

A Chinese silver three piece tea set, the tapered cylindrical teapot set with prunus blossom and bird applied decoration, the handle is in the form of a piece of bamboo with matching milk jug and twin-handled sugar bowl, 15.5 cm high, total approx 35.5 oz CONDITION REPORTS Teapot - hinge very stiff andf slightly buckled out of shape. Light scratches and discolouration throughout. The base appears to have pushed inwards. There is a dark mark to the base suggesting possibly a split with corresponding mark to the interior. The sugar basin and the cream jug handles differ in soldering to the body suggesting possibly the handle has been resoldered on the cream jug. Both items have various light scratches, the cream jug lip has been dented. All items slight knocks, scratches and general small signs of wear and tear throughout. The ivory bands on the handle of the teapot are cracked with split

A Victorian silver and embossed four piece tea set comprising teapot, hot water jug, twin-handled sugar basin and cream jug (William Hunter, London 1864), approx 76.6 oz total, housed in an oak fitted case bearing label to interior "Mappin & Webb No. 76, 77 and 78 Oxford Street W London ...." and brass plaque to top inscribed "Jane W Henry 6th October 1871" CONDITION REPORTS Box in used condition with many scratches, dents, shrinkage betwen sections, felt to interior worn. Tea set in good condition though in need of a good clean. Ivory beads to the two larger pieces, all with various discolouration and cracks - see images for further detail. The box shows significant signs of wear and tear, scratches, scuffs, marks, cho]ips, signs of warping etc throughout. All over considerable wear and tear, the paper label to the inside is somewhat tatty, has some grey marks.v The hot water pot has light scratches throughout to the body, the ivory rings are both cracked with splits. Slight shallow dents. Teapot has slight scratches throughout to the body. The teapot has light scratches throughout to the body. Lid is slightly wobbly. Some dents including one to the top section, some small dents underneath. Cracks and splits to the ivory finials. A large dent to the handle. Teapot is very wobbly when on a flat surface. The sugar bowl has some damage to one handle which is bent slightly out of alignment and shape. Some various knocks and dents to it also. All over various light scratches. Some small dents to the bottom of the basin and some wear to the gilt interior. Wobbles slightly when upon a flat surface. The cream jug has light scratches throughout. Some shallow dents to the body, both back feet have the appearance of being pushed up into the body. General small signs of wear and tear and some wear to the gilt interior. There is also a dent to the front of the cream jug. All silver items have general signs of wear and tear including surface scratches, small minor dents etc. There is one compartment in the box which is empty - this was possibly for a tea caddy but is no longer present. There is no key for the box - see extra images on line

The cream ground bottle has crazing throughout. Some light scratches, some wear to the paint, some chips to the foot. To spade various small chips. Very yellowed and browned. There is a slightly clearer looking patch to the sky in the right hand side which comes up slightly darker in UV light. There is a tear to the canvas to the left hand sky in the left hand corner. Various scratches and scuffs and marks. Frame with various losses, cracks, chips, etc, throughout. In need of replacing. All over various considerable signs of wear and tear. In need of restoration and work. The back of the canvas is very browned, stained, marked, etc.

A Chinese carved hard stone snuff bottle decorated with figure upon a lotus flower with coral bead stopper, raised on a wooden stand, 8.5 cm high (including stand) CONDITION REPORTS Various nibbles and chips round the rim, light scratches to the body. Hard to tell if there is a crack or a fault to the stone running in front of the figure's face. The body has been stuck onto the foot, the spade with various nibbles and chips. Coming loose from the cork and the cork has been stuck onto the lid with araldite. Various scratches to the top. Small nibbles. All over various general signs of wear and tear.

JULIUS OLSSON (1864-1942) "Beachy Head", study of sail boats off the coast, oil on canvas, signed lower left, 62 cm x 75 cm CONDITION REPORTS Some minor scratches to the canvas along the edges and some slight wear to the paint where it has rubbed against the frame. Under UV light some slight small black blemish to the sky. Under natural light this same blemish may have been re-painted. Various general small signs of wear and tear. Frame with various small losses, cracks and chips and scratches in various places. The frame is also missing some bits of the decorative moulding including one section to the lower portion (see photographs). The back of the canvas appears to have been varnished.

19TH CENTURY CONTINENTAL SCHOOL "The Gypsy encampment", with figures dancing, camp fire and figures with dog and donkey in foreground, oil on canvas, unsigned, 63 cm x 81 cm CONDITION REPORTS Has extensive touching up throughout to the crazing, as well as some other further patches visible under UV. These are all especially evident to the top half of the picture. Crazing is evident throughout and it has been re-lined, is in need of a clean and has several white spots of dirt etc Light surface scratching. General wear and tear conducive with age and use. The frame has been heavily restored and re-gilded with cracking etc all over - see images for further details

A Baker style rifle inscirbed "Brander", the plain barrel with various proof marks and flintlock action, the stock with brass wadding or shot compartment, 119 cm long overall TOGETHER WITH A 19th Century sword bayonet, the long steel blade with cast ribbed handle with release button and knuckleguard in a brass bound black leather scabbard, the handle stamped "60R-795", blade 61.5 cm long, 74.6 cm long overall CONDITION REPORTS SWORD - Sword does seem to fit previous lot (Lot 456), there is a slight buckle to the blade with some damage to the tip. Various scratches and marks, some black speckled type marks, some impact marks to the edges, some rust near the hilt. The knuckle guard is bent, various marks, scratches, scuffs to the brass. The scabbard has wear the leather, threads coming out and is very loose and coming away at the seam. Brass around the open end appears to have been soldered, various scratches and scuffs. All over various signs of general wear and tear. Barrel does not appear to be rifled though barrel appears to be smooth bore. There is a wide deep groove to the base of the barrel approx a quarter of the length down from the end all the way to the stock end of the barrel. Flint lock functions as it should therefore does not appear to have any broken springs. The metal work has signs of surface rust and light pitting/scratching throughout conducive with age and use. Sight is flip-up type. Woodwork with denting and scratching throughout but with no apparent loss. The rear sight appears to have solder marks suggesting that it may have been dislodged and repaired at some stage. Barrel diameter 1.9 cm. Barrel length 77.5 cm - see images for further detail. Please note that this Lot is now to be sold with Lot 457 catalogued separately in error but bearing the same number 795 to the hilt. The description should read "A Baker style rifle inscribed "Brander" and NOT a "Baker rifle by Brander"

A FOLLOWER OF JACOB (1657-1701) OR WILLEM DE HEUSCH (1625-1692) "Coastal landscape with figures and ruins in the foreground, a town and shipping in the background", oil on canvas, unsigned, 58 cm x 75.5 cm CONDITION REPORTS Suspect a 19th Century copy. Crazing and cracking to the paintwork throughout. Some black or dark speckled marks and some light scratching. The whole appears browned / yellowed. The blue in the sky looks dirty. Would benefit from a good clean. Suspect all over various general small signs of wear and tear. Frame with various cracks, chips, scratches and genearl signs of wear and tear.

A Japanese Meiji Period carved ivory figure group as a lioness and cubs with balls amongst clouds, signed within a roundel verso, 12 cm x 6.25 cm CONDITION REPORTS Cracks/splits are running along the bottom of the piece where the balls are and various smaller cracks/splits in various other locales including round the back to the feet of the cubs. Various light surface scratches, some light chips throughout including to the lioness' ears and to the wave behind her head and to various other waves and scrolls. Various general small signs of wear and tear through age and use throughout with surface scratching and very fine small chips and various splits. One on the ridge running down one of the cub's backs, one of the bobbles is significantly browner than the others, possibly been repaired/replaced. Loss to one of the scrolls and one of the cubs - see images

IVAN FEDOROVICH CHOULTSE (1874-1939) "Olive grove with sunlight in foreground", oil on canvas, signed "IF Shoultse" lower right, 52.5 cm x 63.5 cm CONDITION REPORTS In some of the dark, black and red areas, the paint appears shinier whilst the rest has more of a dull, matte type finish. These areas also appear slightly darker under UV light. There are some black spotted marks throughout including some to the grass, some down to the lower right hand corner and in a line down in the left hand corner. There is also a multitude of black spotted and dotted marks on the lower frame. Light scratches throughout. Some crazing evident especially in the left hand corner. All over would possibly benefit from a clean. Frame with various scratches and scuffs and again would benefit from a clean. All over general signs of wear and tear.

Areas of mottled type finish to the surface especially seen on the figure's shoulders and upper arms. Some small chips to the end of the umbrella. A FOLLOWER OF CRISTOFANO ALLORI (1577-1621) "Lady in gold-trimmed black dress with high lace collar and pearl necklace with pearl embellished head-dress, seated" (possibly a lady of the Medici family), portrait study, half length, oil on copper, unsigned, inscribed verso "by Cristofano Allori about 1598", 16.3 cm x 12 cm, housed in a carved giltwood and gesso acanthus decorated frame, bearing inscription "Cristofano Allori son of Alexander Allori born 1577 died 1619" (Provenance: the property of the Raymond Barker family late of Fairford Park Gloucestershire) CONDITION REPORTS Varoous light scratches throughout, some losses of paint to the lower left corner. Deep scratch to her hair, some marks to her face, pitted type marks around her jaw, various small impressed marks. Under natural light the left hand shoulder looks to be retouched. The whole appears milky in complexion under UV light apart from the face and the white lace to the figure. Some red marks popping out on her face - see images. Frame has various cracks, losses, chips etc. All over various general signs of wear and tear throughout - suggest viewing in person

SCHOOL OF DOMENICO ROBUSTI (IL TINTORETTO) (1560-1635) "Venetian nobleman", portrait study of a bearded gentleman in white lace ruff and black coat with gold belt holding a pamphlet in his right hand, his left hand upon a chair back, three quarter length, oil on panel,(later re-inforced), unsigned, bearing hand-written label verso "Venetian gentleman Tintoretto", 21 cm x 15 cm, housed in a later giltwood and gesso swept frame (Provenance: the property of the Raymond Barker family late of Fairford Park Gloucestershire) CONDITION REPORTS A crack to the board running down the middle from top to bottom and a crack to the left hand side running from the top to a third of the way down. all over crazing throughout and cracking to the paint verso two newer blocks have been added to the back board and paper label stuck, marked "A Venetian Naval Tintoretto", the frame with various chips, losses, cracks etc throughout. When viewed under UV light there are five dark black marks to the lower third - four just below the gentleman's waistband, one just above it. To the left of the gentleman's waistband an orange/red colour comes through. Please see images taken under UV light - all over general wear and tear.

Long scratch to the upper left hand side corner and some smaller deeper scratches there. A series of scratches to the right of the sitter. Some further scratches and scuffs. Some small losses of paint in various places. Some brown dotted marks including one to the arm of her dress. The left hand side appears greyed / milky. There is a crease running along the top. Under UV light the whole appears very milky. Various scratches, scuffs and marks and general signs of wear and tear throughout. In need of a good clean. Very browned / yellowed all over. In need of restoration due to the scratches and greyness in colour. Frame with various cracks, losses, chips, scratches and scuffs. All over with various general signs of wear and tear.

THOMAS HAZELHURST (1740-1821) "Young lady in white dress with matching hairband", oil on ivory, oval, miniature portrait study, half length, initialled lower left, in gold coloured mount as a brooch, housed in a red leather carrying case inscribed with ownership initials "G J Rooke", 7 cm x 6 cm CONDITION REPORTS A small greyer patch round the bottom of the lady's throat which looks pitted from soem angles. Some light scratches to the paint including two deeper longer ones on the lady's white blouse running down to her blue belt. Some scratches to the glass. The pin on the back of the brooch will need attention, some dents to the frame. Various scratches to the frame to the box. Variousd general signs of waer and tear, locking mechanism broken, hooks worn, leather very worn and variosu impressed marks, scratches, scuffs etc. Interior dirty and all over various general signs of wear and tear through age and use throughout

White scratches throughout, some slight damage to the edges. Frame has various chips, .osses and scratches and scuffs. Remnants of paper label verso "July 21st 1806" and one other small remnant. I CARRERA (20th Century) "Lord and Lady De Malahide, 5th Baron and Baroness", portrait studies, head and shoulders, signed, inscribed "Firenze" and dated 1924, 8 cm x 6.5 cm CONDITION REPORTS Lady De Malahide - top edge appears to be clipped as has the bottom edge. Edges are very worn and some damage. Some light scratches and some spotted stains. The lower half especially looks slightly yellowed. The whle appears faded. Lord De Malahide - the whole appears slightly faded and yellowed, some dirty marks, some light scratches. The top, bottom and sides look roughly cut. Light scratches throughout and some dotted marks. Both portraits have signs of general wear and tear. This Lot has come from a descendant of the Malahide family and is believed to be either 5th or 6th Baron and Baroness. No frames, one glass is cracked and chipped, the other glass with small chips, in need of re-framing

JOY DIVISION - LICHT UND BLINDHEIT - SORDIDE SENTIMENTAL ORIGINAL - Iconic French (and only original pressing) release of Licht Und Blindheit, limited to 1578 copies, this being number 001301 (SS 33002). The record (MPO etched and ridged rim) is in VG+/VG condition. Side 1 is VG+ with a couple of light surface markings running with the groove. Side 2 is in VG condition with surface markings and some scuff markings noted, these never extend deeper than this and there are no scratches. With the English translation insert and the original 'tracing paper', though this has come unstuck. The textured foldout sleeve is in well presented Ex condition with only a little light edgewear.

THE BEATLES - PLEASE PLEASE ME - UK MONO 1ST - A 'starter' copy now of the 1st UK mono pressing (PMC 1202). With Dick James credits for all McCartney/Lennon compositions. The record is in G+ condition with numerous surface marks to both sides and one or two light scratches. Labels are in clean order with no rips or tears. Matrix/stampers: XEX 421-1N 2 GM & XEX 422-1N 1 M. The sleeve is in Fair condition. A section of the top of the flipback is missing with repair to the bottom of the flipback too. There are seam splits across (roughly) half of the top and a third on the bottom.

The sleeve is in VG condition with a tear on the opening edge towards the bottom right (front) edge.
