Mont Blanc Meisterstuck No 146 fountain pen, black, CG1057348, 14K 4810 two-tone nib, boxed; Montblanc maroon lady's fountain pen, HK1461421, 14K 4810 two tone nib, boxed (2). Condition report: Pens are sold without warranty and are not tested for filling, leakage or writing reliability. At the time of cataloguing both pens write readily, without droughts or floods but that may no-longer be true at the time of sale or delivery. Both pens have light surface scratching consistent with ordinary use. The maroon pen has a tiny indent on the snowflake. The 146 pen has its matching black plastic case, paper wrap, service booklet and outer box which is slightly scuffed. The maroon pen has a Montblanc black box, sleeve and service guide but they are not for this pen.
Cushion cut single stone diamond ring 1.02ct, in an Italian 750 gold shank, ring size P+. Condition report: this lot does not have a diamond laboratory report. Modern Italian hallmarks; some thinness at the base of the shank, claws good. Approximate characteristics of the diamond - dimensions: +/- 5.8 x 3.38mm, cut: squarish cushion with facetted girdle; clarity: VS; colour: very light - light; gross weight 3.2g. Overall the ring is in good, clean condition.

James Wilson Carmichael (1800-1868), Maritime scene with various shipping, signed and dated 1844, oil on canvas, 48.5 x 74.5cm.; 19.25 x 29.25in. Condition Report: The painting is in good, restored condition. Under UV light there are some areas of over painting and there is evidence of cleaning. Most notably there is a repaired tear to the canvas coming down from the top edge as shown in the images. Over painting has also occurred along craquelure most notably in the cloud areas. There is some minor craquelure across the surface commensurate with age. There are one or two chips of paint loss as can be seen most notably in the sky area. The painting has been re-lined as can be seen. There appears to be a shadow signature above and slightly to the left of the existing signature as I have tried to show in image 9. The painting is framed but not glazed as can be seen. The frame has the odd minor knock and loss as can be seen.
