Air cane, 18 inch barrel .22 calibre screw in barrel and 64 bore sighted smooth bore barrel, screw on nose cap, curved stock reservoir, painted maroon finish, with a later case. The air cane appears in good general condition with little signs of use. There is no pump or key to work the action so we cannot check if the action is functioning correctly and therefore place no guarantee on this. The smooth bore barrel has some light pitting patches, whereas the rifled tube is free from pitting or damage. The paint finish shows some light scratches and the odd minor chip and wear but it is generally in a good overall state.

The barrel is heavily pitted both inside and outside. The rifling pattern looks worn and it is generally quite filthy down the barrel. It might improve with cleaning but it will always be quite worn. The action works correctly with a very strong spring. The rest of the metalwork has some light overall pitting which grows heavier in places. The stock has a nice general patina. There is a chip to the woodwork beside the barrel tang but there are no splits or repairs. The butt has shrunk and the butt plate overhangs at the toe. There are lots of scratches dents and marks.

The barrels ring when tapped, there are two light dents to the right hand tube. The barrels are in proof and measure at: .741 right and .736 left against a proof stamp of .740 right and .729 left. The walls measure a minimum of .18 right and .28 left. The bores are clean there are only a few light shadows of pitting in both tubes. The blacking to the barrels is in good order with only slight wear. The barrels are on face and tight on the action with no wobble with the forend removed. There is some light speckling to the action, the trigger guard has some corrosion spots, there is some light corrosion between the right barrel face and the fence. The actions function correctly with snap caps. The stock is free from splits or repairs, there are occasional scratches and dents from use but nothing defacing. There is a short split to the forend on the thin part of the wood where it meets the barrel, this has been glued and looks to be stable.

The barrel has an old refinish to it which has started to wear away. There is some light surface pitting underlying this old refinish. The bore is good but there are some light surface pits similar to that of the outside of the barrel. The walls look reasonably thick at the muzzle and therefore will probably be good enough to allow lapping the bore and still leaving the barrel walls reasonably thick. The nipple is missing. The action works correctly with a strong mainspring. The hammer is possibly a replacement. The stock has a spliced in repair beside the side nail which holds the lock plate on. There is an old refinish to the stock which is starting to chip away in places. There are lots of scratches and dents.

The stock has some dents, scratches and handling marks, the corner of the forend is chipped where it meets the action. There are no splits or repairs.

Ideally it needs repolishing as there are fingerprint and other tarnish marks to the polished surface as well as some scuff and scratches. The last millimeter of the point of the blade has been chipped and the cutting edge has some very tiny nicks. Sighting along the blade, there is a slight curve to it and it is not perfectly straight. The Tsuba is corroded. The scabbard is coming apart along its edges where alot of the lacquer is flaking away.

The bore has some corrosion spots and light pitting but it would improve with a good clean and light polish. The stock has been refinished leaving the stamped marks light. There finish used looks to be a varnish and this is chipping in areas.

The blacking to the barrels is worn and shows some light surface pitting.
Percussion 8-bore fowling gun by H.C. Burt, Yarmouth, 42inch Damascus Spanish form barrel with false breech engraved with maker name, scroll engraved lock, figured chequered stock. Section 58(2) Antique /obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence. Buyer must be over the age of 18 and photo ID will be required before the lot can be posted out. 146cm overall length.The gun is in reasonable condition and has the looks of a gun that has been recently held on licence and used. It is however sold as a Section 58(2) antique which does not require a licence. There are signs of refinishing work and wear. The bore is in fair order but it has a few scattered pitting spots. The barrel has been rebrowned, and the engraving has possibly been refreshed. There is a gap between the barrel and the false breech. The engraving seems to match up on both pieces and it is not thought to be a marriage between to separate guns. The gap can only be assumed to be a result of age, usage and changes in the wood stock. One ramrod pipe has been resoldered back into position, the ramrod is a replacement. The action cocks and releases with a strong spring, the lock has been reblued leaving some of the engraving fainter than it could be. The stock is free from splits or cracks, there are some dents and scratches. Some light sanding marks give away the fact that the stock has been refinished. Some screw heads show signs of being worked. The gun has a modern rubber butt plate to ease recoil.
Uberti .36 calibre Colt Navy type percussion revolver, serial number N5371, 8inch barrel, the cylinder decorated with naval engagement scene. Italian black powder proof marks.UK FIREARMS LICENCE WITH .36 CALIBRE REVOLVER OR RFD REQUIRED. 33cm long The revolver is in good general condition, showing signs of occasional use. The bore has good strong rifling but there are some shadows within the grooves and lands which are light surface pitting. There are similar small patches to the polished face of the cylinder. The action works very positively with fast tight lock up and perfect timing. The metal finish is good but there are some light scratches and marks. The screw heads show signs of being worked.
Glasgow Highlanders uniform, including a cap with 10th Glasgow Highlanders LRV badge, red tunic top and green kilt. The uniform is dusty and worn, there are some light stains and scratch marks. There are some small moth damage holes scattered throughout but nothing defacing. One button has become detached but it is present. There are some seems which are starting to open up slightly. The Uniform is on the small size, pit to pit is approx 14", inner sleeve length 17.5" and outer sleeve length 23". The cap has suffered more from moth damage where there are a few deeper holes. The kilt has faded towards the bottom. There appears what looks like alot of brown splatter marks scattered all over the bottom of the kilt.
Potsdam 1809 pattern .750 flintlock musket, 41inch barrel bearing 1817 date at the breech secured by three brass sprung bands to match the rest of the brass furniture, the butt plate unit marked '84, 4,R, 12 C' the action with ring necked cock, fitted with brass pan and steel pan flash shield. Section 58 (2) Antique / obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence. Buyer must be over the age of 18, age verification will be required if the lot is to be posted out.143cm long The gun is in average general condition but would benefit from a good clean up and gentle restoration. The lock works correctly with a strong spring, the half cock position does not feel as positive as it should do but the sear does hold the tumbler in the correct position. The bore has dark and furry with surface corrosion and would benefit from a good scrub out. The metalwork generally has some pitting and surface corrosion as well as some wear from a previous attempt to clean the gun up. The brass work has some light dents and marks as well as some signs of wear. The stock has been refinished in relatively recent history and does not have the age or wear marks that the rest of the gun has. One side nail that holds the lock in place is missing. The ramrod is a little too short for the barrel and is therefore probably a replacement. There are two patches towards the muzzle where masking tape has been bound round the gun. The purpose of this is unknown as it appears to have no structural affect on the gun.

The metalwork to the exterior of the gun has some light pitting to the polished parts. The bore is in excellent order with crisp rifling there are only two corrosion spots, one in the chamber and one just ahead of the chamber. These look recent and would probably clean off with relative ease. The action works correctly with a positive lock-up. The stock is free from splits or cracks, there are lots of small and scratches.
Adams 40 bore percussion revolver, serial number 1396, with cut down 3.25inch octagonal barrel, scroll engraved frame marked 'Adams Patent', chequered wood grips fitted with spring trap. The bore is worn and has some pitting marks. The action functions correctly with a strong spring and positive correct timing. There is overall pitting to the metal work with some heavier patches. The screws are all worn and many stand proud showing signs that the gun has been stripped down several times and worked on. There are some light abrasive marks to the top of the frame and barrel from an earlier clean up job. The gun has a non original stamped serial number to the grip strap which matches the original serial number on the frame. One top corner of the wood grip is chipped.

The barrel is in proof, rings when tapped and there are no dents visible. The bores are clean and generally free from pitting however there are a few dark spots still present which were too deep to lap out during the restoration process. The barrel is on face and tight on the action with no wobble with the forend removed. The action functions correctly with a strong spring. The butt stock has a split on the right-hand side relating to the butt plate screw, there are several other shakes in the wood ahead of this fault, all that can be seen in image 3 online. Outside of this, the woodwork is free from splits or repairs, there are occasional scratches and dents from use but nothing defacing.

The worst part is the heavy pitting to the barrel and some other parts such as the barrel bands. The lock works with a very strong spring and positive loud crisp click as the sear engages. The nipple is a modern replacement. The stock has lots of dents and marks but is free from splits or repairs.

The action works correctly and the trigger is incredibly light. There is glue squeeze out where the aluminum butt plate has been joined to the stock.
Stevens 12 bore, pump action shotgun, serial number E773651, 30-inch barrel with full choke, 76mm chamber, three shot maximum capacity with Birmingham proof and magazine restriction stamps.UK SECTION 2 SHOTGUN LICENCE OR RFD REQUIRED. 14" LOP The gun is in average condition. The bore is clean and bright with no signs of damage or pitting. The barrel has no dents. The action appears to function positively but does get hung up on snap caps. This might be the nature of the length of the snap caps, we have not however tested the action with live ammunition. The metal finish has some wear, light pitting spots and occasional corrosion. The screw which holds the magazine assembly to the barrel is chewed up and damaged. The butt stock has repaired split at the wrist just behind the action. There is thick varnish that has been applied to the butt to try and hide this.

There are no dents visible to the left tube but there is a light dent to the side of the right tube. The barrels are in proof and measure to their reproof stamps of 18.7mm right and 18.5 left. The walls measure a minimum of .27 right and .28 left. The bores have some light pitting throughout, there are heavier marks just ahead of the chambers. Each chamber also has a corrosion spot inside. The blacking to the barrels is wearing through and there is finish wear to the action. The foresight is missing. The barrels are on face and tight on the action with no wobble with the forend removed. The actions function correctly with snap caps. The grips are free from splits or cracks, there are some small stains ,dents and scratches.

The bore has some dark marks on the lands. These are mainly found in the second half of the bore and look like copper fouling or build-up but these marks do not shift with a basic clean we can do at the saleroom and ideally the bore needs a deep scrub out. We cannot guarantee there are not corrosion marks underneath the copper residue. The majority of the bore looks good with crisp rifling just starting to soften slightly in the throat area. The crown looks in good order but there is some pitting marks to the polished face of the muzzle. The action functions smoothly and positively. The bolt face has a cartridge case ring mark t it and light primer pocket marks. The stock is free from splits or repairs but there are some scratches and scuff marks scatterered throughout. The scope has some light speckling to the coatings but there are no scratches or damages. The finish to the outside of the tube shows some usage marks.
R. Halford 16 bore side by side hammer gun, serial number 2770, 28inch Damascus barrels, Birmingham nitro proofs and 2.5 chambers, the rib engraved R. Halford, '300 New John St. West, Birmingham', the actions are engraved with game birds. The barrels ring when tapped and there are no dents visible, they are in proof and measure to the .681 reproof stamping. The walls measure a minimum of .24 right and .22 left. The bores are clean and free from pitting although there are some very light shadows occasionally seen. The chokes measure .657 on each side at the muzzle. There are signs of the ribs being resoldered at the muzzle. The barrels are on face and tight on the action with no wobble with the forend removed. The actions function correctly with snap caps. The stock is free from splits or repairs, there are very occasional scratches and dents from use but nothing defacing.
IAB Premier 12 bore over and under shotgun, serial number 12363, 29inch multichoke barrels, (six choke tubes and key present) the action can be stiff to open, decorated with flower groups and scrolling, pierced top lever, Birmingham proof marks, 2 3/4" chambers. with cases containing a Briley 8oz. barrel weight. UK SHOTGUN LICENCE OR RFD REQUIRED.14 5/8ths " LOP, the case measures 80cm x 23cm. The gun action has a fault in that it is very stiff to open when the actions have been fired onto snap cap, outside of this fault the gun cocks and ejects correctly. The gun is in fair condition showing signs of being used but looked after. The case contains several receipts for repairs and maintenance. The barrels are in proof and measure at .737 against a .729 proof, there are no dents present but there are some light scuffs and signs of wear. The Briley barrel weight has left some scratches to the blacking. The bores are free from pitting or corrosion. The stock is free from cracks or repairs, there are some light scratches and marks. The case shows signs of a hard-working life. There are drawing pins protruding from the lid which have been stuck in from the inside. to hold the lining onto the lid. The partitions are loose and damaged.
Bettinsoli X-Trail 12 bore over and under shotgun, serial number 232483, 30-inch multichoke barrels (four chokes present, no key), 3inch chambers, steel shot proof, the colour case action decorated with game birds, Italian proof marks, with makers case. The bores are clean with no pitting and the action works correctly. There is some small corrosion spots on the inside of the action and barrel lugs which would clean up with ease. There are no dents to the tubes and the action is very tight when opening. There is one small spot to the blacking of the barrels near the action where a spot of corrosion has been cleaned off. The stock is free from splits or damage and has only very light marks from occasional use.
London Small Arms Martini Henry MkII .577/450 rifle, 32inch barrel fitted with ladder rear sight and secured by two bands incorporating bayonet lug, Crown VR 1889 dated action, numerous inspection and acceptance marks. Buyer must be over the age of 18, photo ID will be required if this lot is to be posted out. 125cm long The gun is in worn / tired condition and shows significant signs of age and wear. There is overall light pitting, slightly heavier in places and too deep to polish out. The bore has some pitting and corrosion throughout but would improve with polishing. A decent rifling pattern can still be seen. The action works correctly with a strong sounding spring. The breech block and lever however are loose and rattle. The stock has heavy wear and is thinning out on the butt stock were the butt plate stands proud along the edges. There are no obvious splits but the patina is so dark and murky it is hard to confirm this. There are chips to the edge of the ramrod channel. The ramrod is a replacement. One sling swivel has distorted with use.
Sako 85S .22-250 Remington bolt action rifle, serial number F33767, 20 inch fluted heavy profile stainless steel barrel, screw cut for a moderator, with screw on cap, Finnish proof marks, laminate stock fitted with rubber and canvas sling and a Simmons Whitetail Classic 6.5-20x50 scope. UK FIREARMS LICENCE WITH .22 OR .22-250 VARIATON OR RFD REQUIRED. 101cm long The rifle is in fairly good general condition and appears to have been carried more than it has been fired. The bore has good crisp rifling with only small signs of wear. There are no signs of pitting or damage and the crown is in good state. The action works correctly and the bolt face has only light primer pocket marks. The stock has no splits or repairs, there are quite a few chips to the thick varnish coating. The scope adjusts correctly and presents a clear picture. There are no damages to the lenses but there are cosmetic flaws to the outside metal finish.
Steyr Hahn 9x23mm M1907 semi automatic pistol, serial number 428i, 5inch barrel, the slide stamped Steyr 1915, 'Wn 15' issue marks stamped above the trigger, London proof mark.UK FIREARMS LICENCE WITH 9mm HISTORIC PISTOL VARIATION OR RFD REQUIRED. SUITABLE FOR SECTION 7.1 or 7.3 21.5cm long The pistol is in very good general condition with most of the finish remaining. There are small patches of light wear in such places as the grip frame lanyard ring, edge of the slide near the muzzle, and other high points. A small amount of strawing can be seen to the slide lock. There is some light peppering to the polished parts such as the end of the barrel, trigger, etc. The barrel carries the UK proof marks and the wording '9x25mm Steyr' can be seen on the barrel when the slide is locked back. The bore looks reasonably crisp in the rifling with only slight wear to the edges, there is no pitting or damage. The action appears to function correctly with strong springs.
Franchi 12 bore semi-automatic shotgun, serial number 056687, 28 inch barrel, three shot maximum capacity, Italian proof marks. UK SECTION 2 SHOTGUN LICENCE OR RFD REQUIRED. 14.75" LOP The gun is in average general condition. The worst fault is a slight ring bulge around the mid part of the barrel, this cannot be felt but can be seen with careful studying if sighting down the barrel. The gun is in proof still, and the bore is clean from pitting. The blacking has some wear and there are some light dotted corrosion spots scattered throughout. The action appears to function correctly however it will not cycle with snap caps. This is a common problem with some older semi autos but it does not allow us to guarantee the flawless running of the action as we have not tested the gun with live ammo. The finish has some scratches and marks but is largely good. The stock is free from splits or repairs.
Greener GP 12 bore Martini Action shotgun, serial number 65151, 30inch barrel with quarter choke, 2-3/4 chamber and Birmingham proofs. UK SHOTGUN LICENCE OR RFD REQUIRED14inch LOP but lacking the butt plate. The gun is in average used condition. The bore is clean and free from pitting, the action appears to function correctly. The metalwork has some light peppering or pitting,a and the metal finish has some wear. The wood stock is free from splits or damage but there is some finish wear, light scratches and dents. The butt plate is missing altogether from the gun. There is a small amount of play between the barrel and the action as in so much as that it does not screw up tightly enough to the action. Tightening the take down screw does not appear to help this.
British Pattern 1841 .704 Brunswick percussion rifle, 30 inch barrel rifled with two grooves for a belted ball, fitted with bayonet bar and folding leaf sight, Crown VR lock stamped 1864 Tower along with broad arrow and 'I' for India, brass furniture including patchbox. Buyer must be over the age of 18.116cm long The rifle is quite worn and corroded throughout and shows signs of a long life is a harsh climate. The metalwork has overall light pitting and some surface corrosion. The stock has a rubbed feel from overall wear and most metal parts stand proud of the surface. The bore is corroded and fuzzy throughout. The action has a reasonable spring but the sear will not engage the tumbler for full cock. The hammer shroud that covers the percussion cap when fired has worn through in one area. The stock has a duffle cut at the mid point, there is a split related to the ramrod channel, and also another just ahead of the trigger guard. There are lots of dents and marks and wear patterns.
