This pair of earrings was designed by Sid Forman in 1999 for the De Beers Shining Light Awards, and were selected by the judges as one of the 12 winners. De Beers created the Shining Light Awards in 1996, with the goal of promoting South African jewellery design and manufacture. This pair of earrings is illustrated in the 1999 De Beers Shining Light Awards Collection catalogue.
