A Vic RN officer’s sword, slightly curved, fullered blade 31½” by E&W Seagrove, Hard, Portsea, etched on one side with crowned R Arms with supporters and motto, and crowned fouled anchor on the other, in scrolled panels, regulation solid half basket hilt, the guard incorporating crowned fouled anchor and with turn down inner portion, lion’s head pommel and backstrap, wirebound sharkskin grip (no scabbard). GC, the hilt retaining much original gilt (minor wear and light pitting stains to blade).

An early 20th century continental infantry officer’s sword, pipe back blade 31”, etched with a star, coat of arms and foliate panels inscribed “Faderneslandet” and”Konunger”, the gilt brass hilt having lion’s head pommel, the guard pierced with scrolls and flowers and with crowned “M” (?) cypher, with wire bound sharkskin covered grip, in its plated steel scabbard.
