Important Moorcroft Collector`s Item. A one-off special edition vase painted by Paul Martin, presenter of BBC Flog It!, with the proceeds of sale going to Children in Need. This lot is a special commission and will feature a `Pudsey` variant of the `Cows` pattern with the use of carefully selected alternative colour palettes. It will remain a truly unique piece of Moorcroft to enhance any collection. The lot will be sold with a series of accompanying photographs of Paul decorating the piece, autograph and signature photograph of Paul and the vase designer. The vase was decorated on Tuesday 27th October, 2009. The finished product will be kept under wraps until the view day of the auction. A Poole Pottery ovoid bowl, painted with bluebirds amongst stylised flowers and leaves, beneath a dentil rim, 8.5cm high, 18cm diameter, impressed Poole England, artists monogram QB, shape no 431; together with a Poole vase, the compresses circular body painted with flowers, below an extended neck, 16cm high, impressed Carter Stabler Adams, initialed EM and HW. A pair of 19thC Delft vases and covers, of ovoid form, painted in blue with panels of simple flower forms and birds, the high domed covers with baluster finials, 40cm high; a 19thC Delft plate, painted to the centre in blue with a naive design of castle ruins, within a blue line rim, 22.5cm diameter; and a blue painted stoneware two handled pedestal vase, all in need of restoration.
