Crazing to the glaze throughout. No further damages or signs of any restoration.

There are no signs of any damages or restoration. Further to the base are some lines of crazing, but the remainder of the vase is free of any crazing to the glaze.

A pair of French Sevres-style ormolu-mounted vases and coverslate 19th centuryof twin-handled form with mask-head terminals, the covers with ormolu fruit and leaves forming the finial and further detail picked out in red and raised white enamel, the ovoid vases painted with pairs of opposing panels of a young maiden with cherubs and lakeside scenes with a house beyond, reserved against a bleu celeste ground, raised on three paw feet,overall height 37.5cm (2)Condition report: Some of the raised dots of enamel are missing to both covers and vases. The gilt metal leaf moulded section and base on one vase needs tightening, it is currently slightly loose and the leaf section can be twisted round which shows numerous scratches below where the mounts naturally sit. There is some rubbing to the gilding around the covers and one cover has also been broken into several pieces and repaired.The vases themselves have no damages or repairs.

A pair of Bohemian white overlay glass goblet vasescirca 1860with crenellated upper rims, painted with oval panels of frolicking cherubs and further decorated with leafy tendrils, set on a stem with single annulated knop terminating in a raised spreading conical foot,31.5cm highCondition report: Overall, the condition is good with no cracks, chips, damages or restoration. The quality of the gilding generally remains good throughout with the exception of a couple of leaves in the central sections of the stems (consistent with handling), together with further rubbing visible to the central knops and to the very lower portion of the gilding around the foot rim on one vase. The condition of the painted oval panels is good and there are no obvious scratches or sections of wear.

Braid detached and pulled-away on places, including the back. Back leg restored where cracked, near join with seat rail.

A Victorian, Louis XV style, marquetry and inlaid walnut veneered and gilt metal mounted serpentine table, the cyma reversa moulded top inlaid with a vase within an oval panel, bordered by kingwood crossbanding around a boxwood and ebony strung band, the shaped frieze with conforming stringing and a central drawer, raised on square cabriole legs terminating in sabots, 128cm wide x 81cm deep x 72cm high.Condition report: The top has a section of veneer raplaces obove the central medallion.  There are a few very small veneer patches to the top and some very small chips to the edge.  Some typical very fine fractures all around the moulded edge.  Two fine splits to the frieze adjacent to one support.  Minor cosmetic marks and signs of age and use throughout.

Picard was celebrated for casting and gilding decorative objects to a very high quality of production. Picard worked for the firm Defreville, in addition to collaborating with contemporary designers such as Charles Perrault and Grault. While the craftsman was commissioned by many important patrons, Picard’s most notable achievement was to supply the Emperor Napoleon III with decorative objects, several of which are still in the State Apartment of the Musée du Louvre in Paris.

Small chip out to the inner rim. Looks to be a pin missing which fixes the cover to the body. The vase - the rim has been damaged with four pieces having previously been broken off and glued, these are covered with metal mount from the exterior. Typical scratching and slight rubbing to the gilding - pitting to the interior
