Three Edwardian Minton Secessionist Coronation beakers, 1902, a Zolnay relief moulded beaker and a green glass vase (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The pink and purple beaker is generally allover crazed. There is one old hairline crack which is visible on the inside of the beaker and runs for approximately 4 cm. It is less visible on the outside and can be seen by approximately 1 cm only. Other than this condition is good. One of the green beakers is in basically good condition. It is also allover crazed and has a 2 cm hairline crack running from the top lip which is more visible on the inside than the outside. The base has circular crazing marks which could be described as hairline cracks but probably are not. The third beaker has a substantial chip to the top lip and a repair. The crazing is worse on this piece. There are two hairline cracks running into the body from the chip both approximately 3 cm in length and more visible on the inside than the outside.
A Pilkington's Lancastrian vase, pink. Height 30 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The vase is in generally very good condition with no damage, no chips, no cracks and no restoration. The vase has however been drilled for a flex and there are minor nibbles around the drill holes. This should be evident from our images.
Two smoky grey Art Glass vases, one signed "Holmegaard" the other also Swedish, signed. Tallest 16 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The 'Holmegaard' vase has some very minor nibbles to the base, the other vase has a small ding and very slight scratch to one side but otherwise in good condition.
Two grey/green glass vases, probably Whitefriars or Powell, and a Powell vase. Tallest 25 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The smallest of the three vases is in very good order with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. There is a firing blemish to the top rim and several air bubbles but no significant issues. The grey vase with green swirls has a surface area that is slightly crushed as if the vase has been banged against another item. There are also several small scratches around the body of the vase. The crush is like a semicircular scratch with fragments at one end. The third vase is in good order with no issues.
A Della Robbia green glazed vase. Height 35 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This vase has some damage. There are several chips to the top lip and some small losses. There are further surface glaze chips around the top section of the vase. These are very clear and go right through the glaze to the pottery. There has been a poor attempt at colouring over these glaze chips. There is a firing mark below the top knop. The main body of the vase has two glaze chips. The foot rim is only partially glazed and there is a glaze chip to the edge of the foot rim.
An early 20th century bottle shaped vase, with burgundy ground, indistinct impressed mark to base. Height 22 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This vase has a small chip to the top rim. This is an old chip. The body of the vase is in generally good condition but does have some minor surface glaze scratches and minor scuffs. The foot rim is thinly glazed and the white body of the vase is visible in places.
A pair of Japanese Cloisonne vases, decorated with birds and butterflies to blue ground and with integral metal bases. Height 36 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: One vase is in very good condition with no particular issues. There is some slight discolouration to the enamel in one area to the right of one of the birds in flight but no chips or cracks to the enamel. The second vase is in generally good condition. It is not misshapen but does have some surface crazing and hairline type fractures caused by being knocked. There is one small area of enamel missing approximately 2 mm square and roughness around the same area. The damage is not significant but is visible on close inspection. One of the feet on the same vase is misshapen indicating that the piece has probably been dropped at some point.
A large pair of Japanese Cloisonne vases, decorated with birds and branches. Height 46 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: One vase is in generally very good condition with no significant damage. It has the usual minor surface hairline cracks to the enamel in areas but no significant dents, dings or enamel losses. The top lip and foot rim are not damaged or bent out of shape. The second vase does have one enamel loss. There is a 1 cm square area of enamel missing in the blue ground. The vase does not look to have been dropped but must have knocked against something. Other than this the only minor issues are the usual small areas of hairline fractures to the surface of the body which are all as per the other vase slightly discoloured. There is also one small surface ding to the blue ground just below the shoulder. This is rough to touch and approximately .5 cm square.
