(illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: Vase heavily restored to the upper rim and central body, this area has been overpainted and remodelled. Large star crack to the underside of the base. Chips to upper rim. Scuffing and wear to footrim.
A Chinese famille rose porcelain vase, 19th/20th Century Of ovoid form rising to a flared everted rim, the shoulder flanked by shishi and ring handles, painted to the exterior sides with ducks amidst water lily and lotus before a watery landscape, set within ruyi and stiff lappet borders, 62cm high. (illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: Hairline crack extending vertically from the rim, approx 6cm in length. Extensive pitting visible to the interior rim. Extensive wear and discolouration to underside of footrim. Glaze burn to handles. Minor wear and loss to the enamel throughout.
A large Chinese cloisonné vase and cover, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) Of globular ovoid form, rising from a straight sided footring, and surmounted by a domed cover with gilt metal flower bud finial, the exterior sides with four circular roundels filled with wrythen five-clawed dragons in pursuit of the flaming pearl amidst lotus flowers issuing radiating tendrils, 40cm high. (illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: Vase shows overall pitting to the enamel throughout. No major structural damage, with only minor issues to the enamel. Loss of enamel to inside of cover. Small dents to inner lip of cover. Metalware tarnished, Loss to the enamel at the inside of vase.
