A Chinese blue and white porcelain baluster vase - with four-character Kangxi mark (later, probably early 20th century), painted with prunus on a blue ground, the flared neck with moulded girdle, 30 cm high.* Condition: In good condition, with no chips, cracks or restoration. The glaze has a few scattered pinprick burst bubbles, and there are a few kiln dust flaws to the glaze around the base and inside the rim.

A large Japanese patinated bronze vase - Meiji period (1868-1912), of eight lobed baluster form with dark red-brown patination, decorated in high relief with Oriental pheasants amidst branches peony flowers to one side and ducks and chrysanthemums by a pond to the other, the waisted neck decorated with elliptical ruyi and diaper decoration, the base with a foliate wreath plaque, 45.75cm. high.* Condition: Good, with dust and dirt to upper surfaces but no dents, splits or repairs. Small casting flaw to edge of base. Overall in good, original condition.

A good pair of Japanese Kutani porcelain vases - Meiji period (1868-1912), of ovoid form with waisted necks and everted rims, finely painted with two primary reserves, one depicting a peacock beside peonies issuing from rockwork, the other a pair of birds amidst peony and chrysanthemum flowers, divided by pairs of cloud reserves depicting phoenixes in flight, on a dense gilt decorated ground, above a band of lappets to the foot, the neck with lotus flowers, signed with nine character marks, 30.3cm. high, with hardwood bases, one vase with small hairline to rim.* Condition: One vase with small curved hairline crack to the rim (not visible to the exterior). Otherwise in very good condition, with only very minor gilt wear.
