Maud Bullen, British Naïve School, 1906-1993- ''Lets go to the Cafe''; gouache, signed, titled on the reverse, 52x77cm: together with seven further gouaches by the same hand entitled, ''A Village Centre'', ''Flowers'', ''Vase of Flowers'', ''Summer Field'', ''Playtime at School'', ''My Little Village'' and ''The Black Dog'', six signed, ea titled on the reverse, various sizes, (8) (unframed), (may be subject to Droit de Suite) Note: Maud Bullen 1906-1993- Watercolourist, born and lived in Dorking, Surrey, a physically handicapped Naïve artist, studied with Ursula Hulme MBE NRD FPS RA at Brentwood Occupational Therapy Centre at Fetcham. Exhibitions at the Mall Galleries, New Metropole Arts Centre in Folkestone and best of British Naïve Artists at the Lyric Theatre, Member of the Free Painters and Sculptures. A detailed biography compiled by Ursula Hulme and Barbara Bullen is available to view. Two stylish Czech Art Deco acid etched and gilded glass vases, c1930. One etched with a gilded dancing woman, the other with a leaping horse. Tallest vase: 10 inches high. The tallest vase with a two-line acid stamped mark to the base: 'CZECHOSLOVAKIA'. Both in excellent condition.
Two Oriental ginger jars, one in blue and white and decorated with prunus blossom, the other having hand painted decoration of Oriental figures travelling on foot and on horseback, plus an Oriental vase of baluster form with hand painted decoration of warriors and having four characters marks to base.
