An early 20th Century Chinese antique Ming Dynasty Chenghua mark (1465-1487) but much later crackle glaze sleeve vase having hand painted blue and white decoration depicting large temple with figures and bridge. Brown band to base and rim with incised brown marks to underside. Measures: 26cm tall. Condition: Has been restored.

Graduated set of three urns, each with gilt and foliate decoration, scenic panels, the large depicting 'The Leaving Husband', the two smaller with Arabic scenes, 33cm high and 28cm high (a/f).CONDITION REPORT: Small (gent smoking pipe): The stem has been broken and badly repaired. Inside the base is cracked and replaced. Gilding has been painted up.Small (lady and parrot): Vase and stem have new screw/bolt through the base and stem, Inside the vase has a hairline crack.Large: Vase and stem separated.All three have extensive rubbing to the gilding. Poor quality attempts to re-gild/paint. The floral and panel decoration is worn in areas, but overall good.

A Worcester Flight Barr & Barr neo Classical style cylindrical vase raised on moulded paw feet over a triform base. Ground in cobalt blue, gilded and with a pair of panels enamelled with birds. Painted script mark and impressed mark, 9cm. Broken and repaired.Restoration to most of the rim. Repair to a large section of the bowl showing in two of the panels. The base section including the lower rim of beading in good condition. The whole inside is overpainted however.
3rd millennium BC. A ceramic vase with conical lower body and bulbous upper with flat base and two loop handles, the neck broad and flared; black painted design to the upper body in chevrons and hatched discs. 3.7 kg, 36cm height (14"). From a west country collection in the 1990s; previously in a Hong Kong collection. Fine condition, repaired.

A bronze appliqué of Papposilenus in the form of a facing mask, two ram horns over his abundant hair, long pointed ears, well curated beard, eyes and mouth open for fastening; probably an item of furniture for bronze and wooden doors. See Hedreen, G., 'Myths of Ritual in Athenian Vase-Paintings of Silens', in: The Origins of Theater in Ancient Greece and Beyond: From Ritual to Drama, Cambridge University Press, 2007, p. 151; parallels with terracotta masks of Sylenus from Taranto, as displayed in Trieste, Museo Civico di Antichita' (1873-1910"). 72 grams total, 90mm including stand (3 1/2"). Previously in a private German collection, between 2015-2016; formerly in the collection of S. K., since 1986. ???????, Sil?nós, or Seileno (in ancient Greek: ????????, Seil?nós), is a character from Greek mythology and corresponds to the old rustic god of wine making and drunkenness prior to Dionysus, of which is the main retainer. Papposilenus is a representation of Silenus that emphasises his old age, particularly as a stock character in satyr play or comedy. Fair condition, repaired.
