Pair of late 19th early 20th century Doulton Burslem Art Ware vases of baluster form on a cream ground raised with red lustre and gilded flowers and foliage, both standing 24cm approximately high together with another similar Doulton Burslem Art Ware baluster vase 22cm high approx. Impressed printed and painted marks to the bases. (3) (B.P. 21% + VAT)
Chinese porcelain famille Verte quarter lobed flattened baluster vase, overall decorated with panels of birds, flowers and rockwork, between a dot work ground of flowers and butterflies, beneath an iron red floral scroll band, the neck decorated with precious objects. Kangxi period circa 1700. 24cm high approx. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Damage to the inside of the neck with a large chip around the rim and losses. With associated hairlines. Missing lid.
A collection of four Chinese porcelain teapots, of small baluster and other forms, all late Qing in date, most likely Guangxu period (1875-1908), all decorated with flowers and foliage, figures etc, the figures in various pursuits and one with bird amongst plants and four Chinese character marks to the reverse. Some stamped with Tongzhi mark. (4)(B.P. 21% + VAT)Orange teapot - chips/frits underside of lid. All have some wear. Figural baluster vases - chips/frits to lid. Other figural vase - small chip to spout and base of handle. Wear to gilding in places.
Troika Art Pottery vase of coffin form depicting abstract decoration including stylised hand, figure of a lady, arrow road sign etc. Marked to the base 'Troika', indistinctly signed. 23cm approx. high. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Noticeable vertical hair crack to the inside approximately 5cm long, crazing to the interior and rather grubby, otherwise no obvious damage noted.
Large Chinese celadon stoneware baluster vase on an crackle glaze ground with elephant mask ring handles on a ornately carved hardwood base. 58cm high approx. (B.P. 21% + VAT) the vase has been drilled through the base, probably for conversion into a lamp, which has left a few hairline cracks. The base has been treated with a brown wash.
Collection of Moorcroft Art Pottery tube lined items, to include: Anemone circular bowl diameter 21cm approx, Columbine plate/dish 21cm diameter approx, blue ground Hibiscus baluster vase 13cm high approx, another cream ground Hibiscus baluster vase 10cm high approx, a small lidded rectangular trinket box and a small ashtray. All with various impressed marks and some with signatures to the base. (6) (B.P. 21% + VAT) Slight crazing to some items especially trinket box (base). the ashtray has a small hair or firing crack to the underside.
Chinese export porcelain famille Verte ovoid vase and cover painted with figures and a boat in a lakeside mountainous landscape with trees and pavilions, all beneath a ruyi head border. Double circle mark to the base in under glazed cobalt blue, standing on a carved hardwood base. 40.5cm high approx. Late Qing/early Republic. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Two noticeable firing faults, one to the shoulder and one just below the midline. Small flake of porcelain missing from the under glazed mouth but otherwise appearing in good condition with no obvious damage. The vase and cover probably did not start life together but make an acceptable match.
