Gebrauchsspuren, leichten Bestoßungen, Wandung teilw. krakeliert. Mit der allgemeinen Renaissancebegeisterung entstanden in der KPM Berlin um 1860 Vasen, Kannen und Teller nach dem Vorbild der Urbinomajoliken des 16. Jhs., deren erste Ausführungen auf der Internationalen Weltausstellung in London 1862 präsentiert wurden.| KPM-Berlin, rare baluster vase in majolica style, 1860-1870designed by Julius Wilhelm Mantel around 1860/70, so-called "Urbino Vase", KPM Berlin, porcelain with polychrome painting in the style of the Urbino majolica vases, oval body on a round foot with rounded shoulder, indented neck and projecting rim, the central part painted in a curved frame, the front with mythological scene of Zeus and Hera and the back with a small bouquet of blossoming and budding flowers. In good condition with signs of age and wear, slight bumps, the walls partly crazed. With the general enthusiasm for the Renaissance, KPM Berlin produced vases, jugs and plates around 1860, modelled on the Urbino majolica of the 16th century, the first versions of which were presented at the International World's Fair in London in 1862.
