A Chinese porcelain yuhuchunping vase, painted in underglaze blue with two five clawed dragons amongst clouds with floral decorated border, bearing painted six character mark to base, height 31cm. Formerly with 'Oriental Ceramic Society Exhibition Label' dated 1947 (or 49) to base.Provenance: from a local private family collection. CONDITION REPORT: Some natural pitting flaws to the body of the vase and very light surface wear however it is free from chips, cracks and restoration. Originally there was a paper label to the base which the vendor removed before presenting it for auction although we do have a photograph showing it attached to the vase. We are unsure of the age however we can advise that it has been with the current vendor for over 50 years.

A late 18th/early 19th century Chinese Provincial ceramic tapering ribbed vase, height 15cm, a similar bowl painted in underglaze blue with floral and foliate sprays and with scratched character mark to the centre, diameter 16cm, a shallow bowl and a brown glazed squat baluster vase (af) (4).
A near pair of 19th century Chinese vases and covers, painted in underglaze blue with two opposing panels depicting battle scenes on a scroll ground within floral bands, with dog of Fo finials, each bearing Kangxi four character mark to base, height 32cm and 33cm (af). CONDITION REPORT: One of the vases has a crudely reglued area to the neck, approx 3cm of losses to the rim. The other vase has a hairline spreading from the rim and an area of firing imperfection, one area of fritting to the rim and some small nibbles to the base and chips to rims of the covers.

CONDITION REPORT: One vase is badly at fault with major loss to the neck and one missing handle, the other with major loss to one handle. A bruise to the rim and with spreading hairline. General minor surface wear commensurate with age.
A pair of late 19th century Chinese baluster vases painted in underglaze blue with large jars and covers on stands flanked by two men to both sides on blossoming branch ground, within two ornamental borders and with dog of Fo finials to the covers, (both af), bearing Kangxi four character mark to base, height 27.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: One finial has been broken off with traces of previous regluing, the other has a loss to the head, same cover with a chip to the side. Some fritting to the edges of the vase and one cover.

A large Japanese Meiji period Satsuma jar and cover, brightly enamel decorated in shades of turquoise, pink and yellow and with figures in landscapes, signed to the body of the vase, height 44cm. CONDITION REPORT: Rubbing to gilding and decoration throughout, also a covering of dirt to the vase. There is a 2.5 x 1.75cm sliver chip chip which has been glued to the rim and also two 3cm hairline cracks to the rim.
