Goldscheider Art Nouveau Terracotta Vase, signed Kinsburger, the ovoid body decorated with a nude female floating amongst swirling clouds and drapery, with two birds in flight below her, in low relief; the back shows further clouds and birds similar; to the shoulders of the vase sit two complete figures of semi-nude male youths, their arms raised to reach the wavy rim, which flares from the short neck; the whole with a cold painted bronze patina style finish; 13.75 inches high; incised Goldscheider, Wien and Ges. Geschutz marks to upper side of back base, with the usual applied oblong cartouche above, plus the incised signature Kinsburger below the right handle; c1900 Sylvain Kinsburger, (1855-1935), sculpted principally in bronze, with productions in spelter and ceramic including parian and terracotta

A Fine, Japanese, Meiji Period, Satsuma Vase of Ovoid Form, Resting on a Spread Foot and Rising to a Waisted Cylindrical Neck with Everted Mouth, with Applied Stylised Bird Handles. It Is Finely Decorated, In Deep Cobalt Blue, With Scattered, Gilt, Paulownia Fronds, which also happen to be the mons of the Tokugawa Family. To each side there Is an Oval panel with two scenes - One of Buins In a Garden Setting and the other with group of people, Including a Samurai and Children In a River-scape with Mountains and Trees. This a top quality piece, 17.5cms High and In Perfect Condition, Signed to the Base with a Two Character Signature '' Sukezan '' In Gold.
Japanese Taizan Satsuma Pottery Studio ware Vase of Tapered Square - Section to a flared mouth and decorated over the glaze with thick enamels and gilding, with four differently designed panels, featuring lotus, prunus blossom, cascading wisteria and chrysthanemum, the rest of the body decorated with ' Tube-Lined ' Style scrolling and random designs, with a formal border to the base rim. It Is 30.5cms high and the width, corner to corner Is 16cms. It Is In overall Excellent Condition, with one or two minor glaze lines. It Is c.1890-1910, Late Meiji Period and Is Inscribed to the base ' Da Nihon Taizan SeI '.
Excellent Pair Of Japanese Famille Noir, Satsuma Vases, superbly hand decorated with cascading wisteria, the foliage in fine gold with the flower heads picked out in white enamel. When comparing the vases it is interesting to note the slight variances, which emphasise that each vase is individually hand painted and each signed to the base gold on red. They are 7cms in height and in first class condition.
