Two Chinese Kangxi period blue and white vases and a Qianlong Batavia vase and cover, largest 36cm high including the coverCONDITION: Smaller vase has obvious and messy restoration to the upper rim with pieces still missing. The next size up has been completely and messily restored with loose pieces and separate cracks also visible. The cover of the largest piece has several large chips / pieces missing to the rim, the vase itself has large sections missing at the heavily chipped rim and a large crack from the rim vertically, turning horizontal over the shoulder. It also has a hole to the base (not a drill hole) with a crack emanating from it.

Eleanor Moore (New York, Illinois, late 20th C.) Large still life painting depicting an oriental vase, a cluster of grapes on a ledge, and an oriental rug hanging in the background. Signed and dated lower right. Moore was trained at the Chicago Art Institute and the Art Students League in New York, Eleanor Moore paints still lifes reminiscent of works by the Old Dutch Masters with great emphasis on color, shapes and atmosphere. Moore has exhibited with Knickerbocker Artists, the American Artists Professional League, Allied Artists of America, Hudson Valley Art Association and the Artists of America Show. Very rare and unusual enameled porcelain dragon form vase. Depicting five-clawed dragon chasing flaming pearls throughout exterior. The dark enamel which covers the vase imitates the oxidation of a bronze finish. Appears to be unmarked. Provenance: David Chang collection (San Francisco, California). Height: 11.75 in.
A very large lovely impressionist oil on canvas by Dorothea Litzinger, signed Litzinger in the lower left. It Is titled “Still life Flowers in Vase” and is bursting with cheerful flowers, on a windowsill framed with wisteria, and sailboats off in the distance. This painting was acquired from a Connecticut dealer with provenance from Dartmouth College, donated by an estate. Litzinger is an artist best known for her paintings of flowers, she also painted landscapes, decorative screens, and panels. Born in Pennsylvania, studied at the Pratt Institute in New York and the National Academy of Design. Her decorative paintings have been referred to as an expression of herself in the generosity of their color and richness of design. An artist of intelligence and promise, whose life was shorted by a brief bout of pneumonia at the age of 36. "Still life of Roses in Green Glass Vase" oil on boad by Carle John Blenner signed in the lower left. Provenance: acquired at Christie's East in '85. He was born in Virginia, educated in Germany and graduated from Yale University Art School. He studied for several years in Paris, under Bouguereau. The early years for Blenner were also his most successful commercially, as he was in high demand as a portraitist of the wealthy, titled and famous - particularly women. From about 1915, Blenner turned to still life studies of flowers, and he continued to reap awards for these and other works. His florals reflect his superb training. However, his own sense of textures and his superior use of pigment in the service of light create not only unlabored representations, but revelations of the flowers' essence.Overall size: 13 1/2 x 11 1/2 in.Sight size: 9 1/2 x 7 1/2 in.Please note that all sales are final.
