Rupert Spira (b.1960), Studio Pottery cylinder vase, circa 2000, Stoneware, deep red glaze with pale grey rim, Underside impressed ‘RS’, 27cm high Impact to rim has resulted in damage - apparent externally as chip 1cm x 4mm, and another 2mm chip with hairline crack approx 4cm to exterior, internally the two are joined and further glaze damage with crazing. 1-2mm nick to underside foot rim. Light abrasions visible to the canvas, particularly towards the corners and edges but also generally across the canvas. Surface dirt across the canvas. Areas of impasto are well-preserved. Otherwise in fair condition overall.
