A 19th century carved oak hall mirror, the bevelled oval glass with foliate spandrels and with further dragon, vase and cover carved decoration and with shelf beneath. Width 51 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is a small chip to the ear on the right hand dragon. There is a tiny rub to the nose of the left hand dragon. There is a very fine age split running through the centre which needs to be tightened up. The left hand front corner of the shelf is slightly scuffed. Overall generally in good order but requiring a good clean and waxing.
A pair of Victorian Minton vases, club shaped, blue ground heightened with gilding and enamelled floral sprays, puce mark. Height 25 cm. CONDITION REPORT: One vase has a 3 cm across x 4.5 cm high section which has been broken off and glued leaving a 1.5 cm x 1 cm interior splice and rim chip. There is a further smaller chip at the lowest point of the breakage visible on the exterior. Its partnering vase has a very fine 1.5 cm long interior hairline crack issuing from the rim. The remainder of each vase appears to be in good order with no further obvious faults, the gilding and enamels all appear to be intact.
A Chinese bronze censor, diameter 12.5 cm, together with a vase and plaque. CONDITION REPORT: One leg has been repaired and there are remnants of lead solder around it. The interior of the censor is very pitted and rusty. It is decorated with incised Feng and peony. The brass dish is very rubbed to the centre erasing most of the decoration. There are no obvious splits or cracks. The vase is decorated with a dragon, a Feng, auspicious objects and has two lion mask handles. It is of no significant age. It has a pseudo Xuande mark which has been polished and rubbed. There are no cracks, chips, dents or major obvious faults visible.
