Provenance: an English private collection, Bristol, and by repute, purchased from Peter Wain. Illustrated: Arts of Asia, November-December 1991, p.8. This mark is discussed with the owner in a letter from Simon Kwan dated 1990, a copy of the letter is available.

(3) Provenance: from the collection of Dr Jonathan Mirsky (1932-2021), acquired prior to 2000. Dr Mirsky was an American journalist and historian of China. Cf.
