A George III vase shaped caddy, on a stepped square pedestal with ball feet and bead borders, embossed with foliate festoons between twin handles, crested, the high domed cover with a flame finial (the interior fitted with a later detachable strainer for use as a caster), by Richard Morson & Benjamin Stephenson, London 1773, 7.8in (20cm) high, 9oz.
A scarce early 18th century penner, the vase shaped inkpot part fluted with an octagonal upper body on a seal foot with intaglio initials and coronet, the tubular section faceted and unscrewing to reveal a dip pen and a removable finial fitted with a steel knife blade, unmarked, probably continental, 1720-30, 4.6in (12cm) high, 1oz.
A sewing Interest:- A late 18th century continental etui in three sections: the lower, needle case with a seal foot the central vase shaped compartment below a bobbin with a thimble cover, the whole decorated with engraving, maker's mark only (indistinct initials above a date '89) unascribed c.1789, 4.25in (10.8cm) high, 1.5oz.
Sewing Interest: A late 18th century Austro Hungarian/German sectional etui decorated with patterns of lathe or engine turning, the thimble cover with bobbin interior above a vase shaped compartment with screw cover and gilt interior in turn above a needle case with a seal foot with intaglio 'anchor' and initials "IAN", 4.3in (11cm) high, 1.5oz.
A very unusual late George II cream jug, of vase form with a fruiting tendril handle, a cast spreading foot and a cast decorative rim, the body chased with floral festoons below a waisted and fluted neck, crested, by Daniel Smith, London 1759, (struck also with an unidentified punch depicting a cockerel? with wings displayed), 5. 75in (14.5cm) high, 8.25oz.
