An early 20th Century tube-lined pottery vase attributed to Moorcroft, of slender inverted baluster form, decorated with a stylized Art Nouveau floral sprig to the face and back, the former being flooded with colour, the back left as an outline only, over a peach mottled and inky blue / black ground, painted number '1451' to base, possibly a sample design, 14.5 cm This vase was recovered unscathed from the ruins of the vendor's family home following its destruction during the Manchester Blitz.

A 19th Century Chinese blue and white prunus blossom decorated baluster shaped vase and cover on a well carved hardwood stand with panels of flowers CONDITION REPORTS Vase has some light surface scratches and scuffs, accretions, etc. Numerous blisters to the glaze from the firing process. There is an old repair to the rim of the vase. The lid has some light surface scratches, some discolouration to the underside. Lid appears to be original to the piece. There is some discolouration to the inside rim of the vase itself. The wooden carved hardwood base has surface scratches, scuffs, etc. Some fading and discolouration in areas. Both items have general wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos for more details.
