ROBERT WALLACE MARTIN; a large and impressive Martin Brothers Aquatic vase, incised with seventeen grotesque fish and sea creatures amongst sea weed in shades of ochre blue and green, signed R W Martin & Bros London & Southall 7'1887, height 30cm.Condition Report: There is a shallow chip to the top rim approx 1 x 1cm in size, there are numerous firing cracks with run through the base of the vase and into the body, one runs into the body of the piece which has been glazed over and shaded with blue, the firing crack runs approx 20cm into the body of the vase, the vase is also signed to the top just below the shoulder of the vase.
