The first baluster vase depicting a bird seated amongst vine with decorative gilt decoration, approx 33 cms h the companion vase depicts a bird in flight amongst vine, the lower section of the vase has a decorative floral motif heightened in gold between two iron red bands, Japanese seal to base approx 33 cms h. (2) Note: these vase do have surface abrasion to the bronze which will need polishing.

Condition report: The cover has a couple of a chip to the underneath rim of the cover and another small chip to the glaze. There is also a small area of loss to the inner lip of the cover, please study the images as they form part of the condition report.

An unusually long mid 18th century French 16 bore flintlock holster pistol, 21½” overall, 2 stage barrel 15”, the octagonal breech gold inlaid with twisted and key pattern bands, vase and foliate scrolls; flat lock with bevelled edges, swan neck cock and squared pan, the cock and lockplate chiselled and engraved and with fish roe gilt panels; fullstocked with carved panels around the mounts, the long spurred butt cap and mounts also chiselled and engraved and having fish roe gilt panels, the butt cap also having a grotesque mask finial.
